We hosted our rehearsal lunch at The Barn in Ramona and had such a great experience! The restaurant itself is clean & has a... great environment. The staff provided amazing service for our large group and they were extremely accommodating. We had lookedfor a few weeks to find a place to host our large party of 20, but The Barn was extremely welcoming of our group. On top of allof that. the food and drinks they served were great! They had so many options to chose from and all our guests loved it. I wouldhighly recommend The Barn to anyone! Read more

The people and service was great hence the two stars. The food overpriced and not much above a diner but for twice the price.... For example the shrimp cocktail was 4 shrimp for $18.... The veggies that with my steak melted in my mouth (they're not supposedto do that) to contrast the not so rare steak I had to gnaw on like a chew toy. As for decor, the restaurant is making goodheadway trying to be modern and taking strides in the right direction. However, they couldn't quite let go of the 90's withtheir route 66 fabric booths and plastic condiment cups. We wanted to love this place... Hoping they improve with time. Read more

Stopped in to see if this would be a good spot for my Son's and Fiancee Rehearsal dinner venue since they are getting married in... September in Ramona, was perfect, they have a large area in the back that works well. The crowd was there on a Saturday waspleasant and happy, great vibe!. Staff polite and all smiles, definitely what I like to see. Our waitress was warm andwelcoming, and extremely helpful, everyone knew their stuff about the menu and venue. A +++ Refreshing. My future Daughter inlaw loved loved the mashed potatoes she ordered more!!. This is a very large open high ceilings establishment. Front had alarge platform and a band was set up to play that night. We are definitely considering this location. Read more

Once again, the Barn knocks it out of the Park. This time we ordered two Filet Mignons to go. Perfectly cooked and nicely... boxed up. The young lady on the phone was nice and professional. We usually dine in and have had the ribs, the salmon and myson gets the Mac and Cheese. Always excellent service and good fun with your typical lively crowd. There is live music onselect nights and be sure to make a reservation. A Ramona go to!!!! Read more

Service was GREAT, friendly people. Atmosphere very nice. 2 of us has salmon was really good 2 of us had chicken parm that... dish was not as good. The chicken was like shoe leather and the pasta sauce was below what not the specialty of the house. But 5 star on nice folks Read more

I started with the French onion soup. It was not like any I have ever had but not necessarily in a good way. Where French onion... this normally savory, this was somewhat sweet. That may very well be due to the onions they used but I am not quite certain. Itwas by no means horrible, just different from the countless bowls of French Onion soup I have had in the Chicagoland area. Nowon to the lasagna. The first forkful actually had me in stitches. It could best be described as sloppy joes with noodles. Theremay have been as much as a tablespoon of ricotta cheese on the entire dish, but the noodles were cooked perfectly. The lasagneitself was slightly on the runny side as well. I was told by many locals that the service there is poor but I did not find thatto be the case that night. I was there early and figured the place would start filling up by 6 but that never happened either. My waitress was adorable and knew how to pronounce "caprese" properly. She asked about the lasagne which began a shortconversation where she revealed that the owners were Sicilian. I asked her if they ever ate there. I am half tempted to go intheir kitchen and show them how to cook a lasagne. After having an abomination of a canolli at Mama Ramona's a few daysearlier, I decided to try the tiramisu, which was fair. While dining, I noticed that they have a wood burning pizza oven andmight consider going back to try but maybe they are better known as a steak house that does not offer T-Bones. The restaurantitself is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. I usually check out the restroom for cleanliness but did not. Read more

The food and atmosphere was grand. The live music was so much fun. The food has a western meets Italy feel. We had wings as an... appetizer and past for our main. The lasagna full of flavor and sauce on the cannelloni was so creamy. A great pick if you findyour self up the hill. Read more
