Samurai Sushi opened in 1998, I started working at Aerojet in 1999. I have essentially been a customer for 23 years. The fish is... always very high-quality. The weight staff is very good and attentive. At this point, I know the owner and his wife, and whenthey see me, they light up and greet me like family. The key thing for me is consistency and the quality of the food and theyhit five stars on both. I had the same waiter from 1998 until maybe a year ago in 2020. The rolls were amazing, but not quite worth the cost. For being dense protein meals I understand some higher prices, but it is... California and the term sushi has marketed in such a way that fish with rice is only just that. It was marketed well. The placeis cute, and it was empty when I first arrived. I was so hungry too, I had two rolls. Super Rainbow and something about Tuna. Itwas delicious! Everything I got was delicious. Specially the Korean grilled beef dish. Fantastic.
We came the other night and the wait was a little long. We enjoyed our food but my daughter said that she heard one of the... waiters tell an asian couple, "Thanks, but get out now" after they finished their meal and paid. That was pretty rude. Read more

honestly it's more like three and half. the service would be a five and the ambience would be a four. As for the fish, it seemed... fresh enough but they use so much sauce. I like the option of sauce but when every roll is drowned in it I am turned off. Theportions were generous but after you've been to a lot of sushi places it is hard to find a place that really jumps out at me. Itwasn't bad by any means it just didn't stand out from a lot of other places. They were open and close and had plenty of seatingwhich is always a plus. so many places are crowded and loud.
