It was our first Korean barbecue experience and we liked it. Our waitress was good and informative. Basically here is an open... buffet of meat and veggies that you can barbecue on your table. They serve you 4 kind of meat every time. She suggested 4 tupeof beef. One Hawaiian, a steak two really thin slice of beef. You can order some sauce and salt for your meat. The serve whiterice snd Salad as well. Salad dressing was awesome. They change the grill top when it is sticky. Price per person without taxand tip 27 bucks! Really reasonable price Read more

Great Korean BBQ! It took a bit long to get us seated. We noticed the waiters were already bringing in the food to other people... who came after us while we came before and were still waiting. That was like 6 months ago, we felt they were a littleunderstaffed. The flavor is good, the portions are good. Best if you come with family and friends to share. Read more

Service was poor. Once seated, first serving came. After that, the refills were extremely slow. Had to ask 3, 4 times for meat... and drink refills. They must have literally forgotten about us, even after telling us they're 'take care of us'. Food itselfwas good, however the calamari was over cooked. Gen Korean BBQ is one of the best ?Cook Yourself? Sit down restaurants ever!! I eat at Gen, for sure at least once every two... weeks!! I recommend everybody to try it at least once! It has a great atmosphere and friendly party vibes, I just wish that alllocations had the ?Volcano Chicken? like the West Covina location! Long wait, decent food, great servers. The servers kind of saved the whole meal and night. Things were pretty messy, as in... tables that needed to be cleaned up and they were out of a lot of beers on tap. One pitcher of beer we did try was flat. After4-5 tries of the waitress checking with the bar and coming back to tell us they were out, we finally ended with with MichelobUltra. Not my favorite, but the table didn?t care at that point. Maybe short staffed? Definitely a place you would come back ina pinch, especially for the price but an hour wait for a table on a Monday night was a bit much. Once we were finally seated thefood came and came and came, so all good there. For under $30 a person, it?s definitely worth a try. They also have take outoptions! Read more

This might be fun if you have never experienced cooking but for me, I have and would've found it more exciting if they gave us... actual seasonings for our meats, when I asked for some garlic oil, the waiter just said I can't really give you that unless youorder this. On top of this, its like the only thing available on the menu is meat, chicken or shrimp, I didn't see soups, sidedishes, or veggies, the bloody plates are left on your table and there is no trash can near by, it would be great if theyincluded a bin next to you where you can throw all the bloody plates, and trash, it felt very unsanitary and like nothing shortof cross contamination. I wanted to love this place so much and thought it would be a great experience but I should've juststayed home and eaten my plain steak/rice/shrimp over my BBQ. Read more

The food is great and service was on point, the y have multiple choices of food from steaks to seafood, will definitely be... coming back the only reason they lost one star was because they need to work on the overall cleanliness of the restaurant andpotentially upgrade utensils. Read more
