This was our 2nd visit & we had a great experience here. We went around 9pm and it looked busy, we went to put our name & they... originally said about 45-1 hour wait. There was space at the bar so we sat at the bar. Food: We ordered the asada fries, whichwere sooo good! We previously ordered the nachos, which are very similar. Drinks: I ordered the margarita flight ($30 is a gooddeal!) and my bf ordered beers and a michi. We also ordered La Guayabita?s & Mexican candy shots, that were alsotasty! This is a not-so-ordinary Mexican cantina, with an urban and modern vibe, and authentic flavors. The main dishes were tasty on... the day we dined here, but by far my favorite of their offerings were their flour tortillas. They were just the rightthickness, with an amazing chewiness that's unique and pleasant. This place can seriously compete with the other upscale andhip Mexican restaurant up the street. Family wanted to do a late birthday lunch and came here. The restaurant is really nice inside! I particularly liked the greenery... draped all over the tubing things from the ceiling, it's way cuter than the way I'm describing it! Alma, our waitress, was veryattentive and super nice! She recommended the enchiladas Suiza and I really liked it. Also tried their fire and spice cocktail.They serve it with the lime slice flambeed! I had a piece of the grilled octopus and that was lovely! I expected it to be superchewy like octopus often is, but this was flavored really well and tender. Amazing! Also, highly recommend their carne asadafries. The meat is so good! And I have to say, I normally don't like beans. The way they made their beans I actually reallylike. The food is absolutely amazing! Their molcajete can easily food up to 4 people and everything tastes fresh. Their Mexican Candy... Shot is a must try if you like the watermelon chile paleta and you can't go wrong with ordering their margarita flight! Servicewas also great and they check up on you often. First time here and was treated like a queen for my birthday. Emily and Lavon went above and beyond to make our visit memorable.... The food was all SO good ~~the molcajete, the nachos, the al pastor, the BEANS!!! just to name a few~~and the drinks wereinventive and delicious. Nice selection of Tequilas too. Ok food. Nice ambience but alas, Not so great service. The server moved at her own pace, no urgency. The chips and salsa came in... with the main course !!! She did not come refill drinks also and we had to get the attention of table clearing staff and otherservers to get her attention. Heard from other friends too that they had similar experiences.
