I am torn on this one. My steak was cooked perfectly with the temperature, but really lacked seasoning. The chicken and... dumpling soup was very good. The service was a little slow, but our server got triple sat, so I am giving a pass here. Theresultant could have used a good cleaning, there was dust on the back of all the booths. All in all, this isn't the worst steakplace I have been to. Read more

Delicious food, big portions, great service. Had a nice dinner celebrating a friend of the familia's birthday. No complaints... from either the wife and kids, we all left with full stomachs and smiles all around. Read more

Nice family restaurant environment. Fair price for the decent steaks. First time here. My significant other and I were... celebrating our anniversary. After a long adventure, we decided to try this place out. Environment and staff were great. Lovethe cabin feel, and history of the place. First glace at the menu, and we were shocked at the prices of the steaks! Then whenthe food came, we learned we got what we paid for. Starter was great! Got potato skins. Can't go wrong there. We both orderedthe ribeye (mine medium rare, hers medium). I ordered shrimp with mine. Both steaks came with false grill marks. The shrimpskewer presentation was lonely as it came on one skewer on a big place . Cutting through the streaks required a bit of sawing, and were fairly chewy. Steak seasoning were good. Silver skin was left on both steaks. Personally not a fan of leaving silverskin on. By the time we finished eating. It was fair to say the food quality is similar to Sizzler. We got a very cozy cabinvibe from the place, so it was still a good experience. I would say it's more of a family restaurant than a steak house. Ifyou're looking for a good steak, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a steak easy on the wallet, this is the place. Read more

We had gone to see the Christmas decor on Thoroughbred and were looking for a restaurant to grab a bite on the way home. We saw... the Steer and Stein and decided to give it a try and were very, happily surprised. The food was delicious, the waitress wasattentive and great. The food was out in less than 5 minutes. How they did that, we have no idea. But it was an enjoyable meal. Read more

Location,;Good, Parking; Good, Service; Good, Price for food received; Good, Overall; This was a first time try even though this... restaurant has been around for many years. With a strong customer base it survived the covid closures. The reason to me wasgood portions at a decent price. The Service was also good as they were attentive even with a good amount of customers. This isa place I will be coming back as long as they keep things as they are. The one thing I was not impressed with was the sauce usedon the pork ribs. Not much taste but really sweet. A few tweaks would be a positive change. Read more

My fiancé and I went there this afternoon. We got seared right away. We ordered the onion rings, rib eye steak (medium rare)... with sautéed mushrooms and two sides of mashed potatoes. The onion rings were freshly made and tasted really good. Oh mygoodness.... the steak was amazing. Each bite of steak felt like it melted in your mouth. The mashed potatoes with gravy tastedamazing as well. I highly recommend trying the steak on medium rare. I would definitely go again. Read more
