Absolutely LOVE coming here for happy hour, drinks or a nice dinner! Fridays and I believe Saturdays they have Prime Rib... specials which is fantastic. And service is always great, even if the kitchen is a little backed up due to high customer volume,we always have the best time coming here! Read more

Missing some of the usual local favorite dishes, as they continue to change the menu. But continue to receive great service,... nice local wine selection and a well rounded menu. Read more

The Gate is a nice place to be. Food is excellent. There are however, quite a lot of flies. It seems to be the area, not soley... the gate. Other places in the surrounding area have this issue as well. Read more

We’ve been eating here for several years and it’s always been good until now. WORST meal we’ve ever had!! The chop chop... salad was mixed greens with 2 pieces of shredded chicken and No dressing. The French dip was a bun and a few pieces of meat andthe boneless wings were chicken tenders with to much spice. The blue cheese dressing was a mixture of sour cream, mayo and someblue cheese chunks. Tried a flatbread pizza and that was terrible also!!! Terrible food but the waitstaff was great!!! Theytried their best to make our experience good regardless of the terrible food!!!! Read more

The atmosphere is very nice but the food is flavorless. My husband and I went here for Easter dinner and we were VERY... disappointed! The only thing good was the shrimp cocktail. Our bill was 108.00 and sent my entree back, didn't order anything toreplace it. So the shrimp cocktail and 1 Ribeye steak dinner with 2 sodas was 108.00. FYI...My husband didn't even finish hissteak and the guy LOVES steak! Don't waste your time and money. Read more

Staying at hotel one night for fiance to take a 3 hour entrance exam for the Operating Engineers Journeyman Apprenticeship... Training Center (located less than half a mile from the Murrieta Inn & Spa) at 7:30 am the following morning. Even though thehotel it's self was a splurge, I felt he deserved an easy morning on testing day. Being the ever thoughtful gentleman that he isrequested I permit him to treat me to dinner at the hotel's restaurant. I've had my fair share of hotel stays encompassing theentire spectrum of quality and type as well as having worked in fine dining during my 20s in Tucson AZ. Although we started ourvisit less than an hour before closing on a Monday night, THIS WAS BY FAR ONE OF THE TOP 3 BEST TASTING MEALS I HAVE EVER HADTHE PLEASURE OF DINING UPON. Both our meals (his: the filet, farm fresh veggies and mashed potatoes; mine: the salmon, sameveggies and crispy fingerling potatoes) were delightful, though his filet was far closer to well done than the medium well he'dasked for as it was cooked light brown all the way through and had NO pink with the exception of about one square inch on athicker edge. It was still delicious, tender and every last morsel was savored. He, the ever picky eater (special orderseverything plain as possible even at fast food places) and I with my minimal appetite, and spoiled by my years in fine dining,BOTH FINISHED EVERY LAST BITE ON OUR PLATES. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS. Read more
