Avenue Italy is a surprising restaurant to find in Palos Verdes. At first glance on entering you can tell the chef is Italian... and that the dining room has European touches. I had the fettuccine di mare (shrimp & scallop) with a Californian SauvignonBlanc - the table was set beautifully with linen napkin and heavy ornate cutlery on a marble tabletop. Then I went straight fordessert trying the Limoncello Sorbetto and Tirra Misu finishing with an Italian espresso. At $100USD plus tip this is anupmarket restaurant. Awesome place to eat, but to be fair I was famished! Had a long day on a film set and came here after I was done for the day.... Ordered a pizza and a glass of Chianti. Food was delicious, service was fast, prices were reasonable, and the staff were great.Beautiful area right off the coast. Will stop back here when in the area. Read more
I have eaten at Avenue Italy scores of times. Each dish is freshly made and simply delicious. The salad with red beets -... fantastic! Lasagna - amazing! Pasta dish with scallops - please don't take this off your menu- this is a favorite! Also, thestaff were kind enough to accommodate special requests from our out - of - town guests. Wow, I was working down the street and found them next to where I get gas. Number the food was the absolute best veal I ever... had. The server John was Awsome, dry sense of humor and cute. I can’t believe how good this place is after a horrible week Ifound paradise. Read more
Really lovely Restaurant close by the sea. Delicious food, friendly service, reasonable prices. They have 2 outdoor areas,... too. The owners seem to be italian because the interior, kitchen, music, everything is very Italian. Hard to find places likethis in the US. Thank you for your hospitality! Read more
We were so lucky to stroll in to this restaurant late in the evening with a big crowd. They quickly accommodated us with... friendly and fast service. Upscale casual dining experience. Atmosphere is sort cute with great ambiance. Family friendly. Lotsof traditional Italian options on the menu. Food was served hot and portions were generous. Overall lacked flavor. Sauce wasrunny, veal was chewy..not enough to complain about, but nothing to write home about either. Would go back for a traditionalItalian meal knowing what to expect. Read more
We have eaten at Avenue Italy a few times now, and so far there has been no bad experience. Quite the opposite is true. The food... is excellent, and so is the service. The prices are absolutely backed by quality and we have not regretted once to have gonethere. We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the restaurant and our experience could not have been better. A wonderful placewith amazing food and atmosphere. Highly recommended. Read more
