Ugh. This concept been one our favorite dine-in spots for the past six years. The dining experience this evening has caused us... reconsider. Aside from the slow and untrained staff, our $42 ribeye steak was 1/2 thick, bland and overcooked. The brusselsprouts were mushy and over-seasoned. Some items ordered were never delivered to our table, and we had to hunt our waitstaff toget the check. I am disappointed that our meal (one salad and a shared entree) cost nearly $100.00. Frankly, it was the aboutthe same quality as cuisine at Black Angus, which costs much less per meal. Great chicken fingers and kids sliders on the children's menu. The small plate pulled pork is okay but was a little dry and the... barbecue sauce was the vinegar based one which to my taste is spicy. They brought a milder one which was okay. The waiter wasgreat and refilled the iced teas and the strawberry lemonades over and over again. UPDATE Aug '22: Delicious chopped salad withBBQ chicken! We had a nice dinner, but I Do Not recommend the beef ribs. I was looking forward to big meaty juicy ribs. What I got were... bones, dry with almost no meat... Pulled pork and tri tip were good. Mac & cheese, smashed sweet potatoes and grilled asparaguswere all good! Read more
This place is awesome! My husband and I met at another Wood Ranch in Irvine nearly 8 years ago. So that?s a plus ???? after many... years, and even though the menu hasn?t changed we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Skin potatoes had a few bbq chicken pieces andraw cut onions- not a fan of that. Burger w grilled onions, tomato and lettuce was yummy. Fries were standard. Perfectly cookedmedium rare and a nice bun. My husband ordered the brisket (slowly cooked) with steamed broccoli (a bit over cooked) andcoleslaw (non-mayo based) super good and freshly made. Service was awesome by Alex. I placed an order and told them the time I would want the food ready by because I was going to pick it up later than 45minutes.... Well when I pick it up the fries are cold so I sent them back. I ordered cake and ice cream and the ice cream was melted. Themanager said she would take care of the ice cream and the fries. Well she did and I thought all was well but the mashed potatoesI discovered were dry when I ate them. She barely gave me a whole scoop of ice cream, leaving enough for only half of the cake.Also the cake was not cooked well enough on the inside. I spent so much money on my food I am disappointed with their serviceand the overall quality of the food. The baby back ribs barely had any meat on the bone. It was such a disappointment...
