Our server Kristen was the best, she was very friendly & constantly came to our table. I order the chicken marsala, it came with... mashed potatoes & broccoli. The broccoli was cold & I barely taste the chicken due to the amount of sauce they pour on top. Ihad a drink that tasted like juice & Kirsten brought it back to the bar and it was alot better. We enjoyed our time in the Black River Barn located in Randolph. Easy and plenty of parking, quick seating, friendly staff and... very good customer service. They had their fire place working which added to a wonderful experience. 2 meals were ordered. Ithoroughly enjoyed mine. My wife somewhat enjoyed hers. Said said her vegetables were more cool than hot and her chicken hadtoo much marsella sauce. She did like her mashed potatoes. Her drink called fall breeze was more juice than adult beverage untilour host replaced it with another. Our table host (Kirsten) actually was the best we've had in a long time. I wouldn't mindgoing back to try something else on their menu. And although we didn't receive bread and butter when seated as we noticed otherpatrons did, I recommend this location. Read more
Stopped in for a late lunch - seated outside by the lake which was nice. Food was edible, nothing to be excited about. When you... offer such an extensive menu that's usually the case - can't do everything well. The best part was having to walk inside to getand pay the bill after having waited quite long enough for the server to come to us. Given I found at least 3 servers insidewith 2 bar customers and one other outside diner, there was no reason for it - and there was no apology given so I'd say it's aone and done for us. Read more
I was there today for Mother's Day Brunch around 10 am and what a delicious Brunch it was! The assortment of food was so... bountiful,from every kind of breakfast to lunch to dinner and all the assorted desserts! The wait staff couldn't have beenkinder! This quaint beautiful place is filled with surprising decorated country pieces and paintings. Adorable! It's also hugeinside. Tables set up for families from 2 to 20. A huge square bar with much seating around it. A beautiful wide river outsidethe windows to admire and when the weather is good they have a lot of outside seating by the River. A huge parking lot. I'mtelling you this restaurant is a Real Treat! A must visit Place. I give it 10 Stars!!!!! Read more
Black River Barn surprised us!! The place is huge with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is big with lots of options for... vegetarians. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. We had vegetarian pizza , chicken sandwich and death by chocolate. Read more
I?ve been here more than a dozen times along with the Rockaway River barn , similar Menus. This time I went for a family event... and had buffet style. They do really good chicken wings and boneless wings or chips as they call them. Good burgers and greatpizzas. The buffet, we had typical penne vodka , chicken franchese , eggplant rollatini , salad , wings. Overall good varietyof food , good service. In nice weather they have a lot of outdoor seating and an indoor party room which I?ve rented or been toevents in before. Typical bar drinks. Read more
I came to this spot with a coworker to get lunch. When we arrived we parked in the private parking lot. We walked in and a nice... man sat us outside. The spot is a bar and grill and is pretty big and the outside had a nice view of the water. We were servedby Holly and she was cool. For my meal I got the beyond burger and when it came out it had, what it looked like cheese on it. Wetried to ask the chef or who we thought was the chef and he kind of seemed irritated to answer. It wasn't cheese so I indulged.The sandwich was ok. The bread was kind of hard though. The sweet potato fries were good. My coworker said his food was good.All in all we had an ok experience.
