First time eating here and will be back! For appetizers we had calamari, crab cakes and the burrata. For entrees we had the... Carbonara and the coconut salmon special. All the food was delicious and I would recommend all of them except the burrataappetizer, I don’t feel it was worth it and it was very plain (just 3 thinly sliced slices of tomato with burrata on top withone piece of basil no sauce or drizzle). Last night my wife, daughter and I ate at this restaurant. I thought it was a very nice restaurant inside, clean, friendly staff... and prices were competitive with other restaurants with a more up scale menu. The reason though for the 3 stars?! Well my wifehad the salmon. She enjoyed it, almost ate the whole dish, and she raved about the side of potatoes which was pretty dam good! Iam giving 3 stars though because I was not fully happy with my meal. I had a risotto dish with the shrimp, scallops and I justhad extra scallops because I didn’t want to eat snail. I thought the risotto was pretty good. What I didn’t like at all wasthe over flow with baby shrimp. I felt like I was eating from a cheap restaurant that serves the baby shrimp in for example,fried shrimp rice. I just thought the dish would be so much better if you just had 2 nice healthy pieces of shrimp on top therisotto that was butterfly cut and scallops that were adult sizes. The over load of baby shrimp and baby scallops was tooverwhelming and it made the dish feel cheap. Other then that I would def go back because I saw other things on the menu I wouldlike to try like the short ribs, or rack of lamb. Sorry I had to be honest with my review. Read more
EXCELLENT FRESH LUNCH... We were getting sneakers at Runner's Haven (which I highly recommend) in the same mall as The Corner... Bistro. Always wondered about the restaurant. So decided to check it out just me and the hubs. Glad we did. We had FriedCalamari to start. Delish. Fresh. Cooked perfectly. Light crisp batter. Classic marinara for dipping.(I forgot to take a pic,hungry) I ordered a Turkey Club hubs ordered a Turkey Bistro Wrap. Both very tasty and fresh. Cole slaw tasted homemade. Crispypickles. Lightly battered fries. There were three party gatherings at the time we were there. Looked like graduation parties offamilies. Even with many people there the service was excellent. The staff did a great job hustling and taking care of all thetables. Our waitress was very friendly, efficient and attentive. The pricing was reasonable and as expected. I have been here many times for lunch and dinner. I really like this restaurant. The waiters/waitresses have always been... attentive. The food is tasty and consistently good. The decor is cozy. I went there this Valentine’s Day and they had aspecial menu. My husband and I enjoyed the toast meal. They had an accordion player walking around playing lovely romanticmusic for the diners very softly and if you wanted he would serenade your table. I have seen hime there before in Saturdaynights. Their one dessert is so delicious I highly Recommend it - semi fredo. It is puff pastry and ice cream with a blueberrycompote topping. So good! It is a byob but also sells wine from local NJ vineyards. Enjoy! Read more
My manager and I decided to get take out from this restaurant. When we arrived we parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in... and ordered from a nice guy. I told him I wanted something vegan and he said he could make a pasta with vegetables and marinara.He let us sit outside while the food was being made. It came out in about 20 minutes. When I got home I opened the dish and ithad cheese on top and throughout. I had to do my best to get the cheese out ???????????. The flavor was pretty good from what Idid eat. Went to the restaurant for a dinner with my wife and daughter. Overall, we are pretty happy with everything. Service was great,... very attentive and friendly. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The ambiance was good! I didn't mind the classic musicthey were playing. They seemed to hire a musician to play live music there. Somehow it made me feel as if I were in europe(maybe i watch too much movies with similar music's). I definitely enjoyed it there. Now food wise, I didn't see anything thatmade me think "Oh, It sounds really good and I should try it! By looking at the menu. The food we ordered are ok, nothingspecial.
