On the road with my truck driver for the week and we stopped in at the Petro Truck stop with the intention of eating at Subway,... Nathan?s, or Popeyes, but Subway was out of lettuce and meatballs, Nathan?s had one employee and tons of people were alreadywaiting on their food, Popeyes had a ridiculous long line, so we decided to take a small walk to Quaker Steak & Lube which isstill on the property. Good food, beer, and atmosphere. Went to Quaker Steak & Lube to watch a talented acquaintance perform and was not expecting... much so I was pleasantly surprised by what we found. The atmosphere is really cool, everything was bright and clean, and theselection of food and beer was great. The quality of the food was very good, it's not gourmet but very tasty and wellpresented. This first time there we had the Pick Ur Cheese Burger, Thunderbird Sirloin Steak topped with mushies, Loaded Mac &Cheese Skillet, and Pub-Style Fish & Chips. Everything tasted great, well-seasoned, and cooked to the requested doneness. There was no room to sit and eat on the patio to watch the performance but we were able to hear inside just fine and when done,went out to watch. It's far enough off the Interstate that the noise is not too bad and there are benches on the grass to sitif you want to watch a performance but no alcohol is allowed out there. 54 minutes to receive our order and the restaurant wasn?t even busy. Very slow service all around; 10+ minutes for drink refills... and even longer for bar order. Charged $9.99 for a $1 side upgrade, didn?t receive my other side? didn?t want to wait another 30minutes to fix it so I guess they won that one. So called ?museum? is nothing to write home about, not even worth getting offthe interstate. Read more
Very unique restaurant ???? ???? excellent atmosphere ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? and a very nice place enjoyable visit... excellent service ???? ???? ???? I ordered the 16oz rib eye streak ???? ???? ???? to my surprise. it was well done ???? butstill tender inside, with Mac and cheese and mashpotatos with some creamy horse relish. I ask for some A-1 steak sauce ????very good food, and enjoy all the wonderful decor amazing ????. Can't wait to come back here! We got to listen to some really good karaoke. Our waitress was a little weird though, my husband... was outside parking and she wouldn't let me order for him, said she likes to see the person first, I thought that to be a littlestrange. Read more
The restaurant is located inside an old mechanics shop. Attached is a museum/ gift shop. Food was decent. Prices not too... terrible. Would go back again. Really cool inside Read more
Ribeyes are excellent with bone in and cooked perfectly. Great location right by a huge truck stop. Super nice staff and a... clean, friendly place. Good prices. I noticed there appeared to be local families blending with a number of truckers enjoyingthis fine establishment. Read more
