Picked it for breakfast on the way from Winnipeg back to Fort Collins. Pictures looked good and it was close by. What a great... little place! Very nice coffee, delicious breakfast burrito. my wife loved the biscuit breakfast sandwich. Spend a couple bucksmore and get fantastic food versus your local fast food place. And keep this little gem in business! Read more

Very surprised to see that this place only has 3.5 Stars on Yelp. I stopped here needing a quick bite while waiting for my... friend to arrive in Rapid City. This place was exactly what I was looking for. It was also my introduction to the Black Hillsand was certainly NOT what I was expecting in terms of dining options. There menu is extensive and full of Gluten-Free andVegan options. I ended up getting "Fuel Bites" and "Harvest Blast" Fit Fuel smoothie. Both were delicious. The fuel bites werepeanut-buttery granola and the shake was filling without being too fruity. I was only in Rapid City for a few hours but I amglad I stopped here. It totally changed my perspective of the town and the nutritional options available to you. I would highlyrecommend if you are local or just passing through. Though I did not try their coffee, the menu seemed to be extensive. Read more

Absolutely fantastic! The food and prices were absolutely amazing. The service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a... garden quiche, a spinach wrap veggie sandwich with Swiss cheese, and a strawberry banana smoothie. The garden quiche wasdelicious, it was homemade and not at all greasy. You could just tell the ingredients were fresh. Read more

Delicious coffee! Amazing pastries! Delightful atmosphere! Kind and helpful staff! The perfect music in the background. We... should know!! After unexpectedly spending 6 days in Rapid City in the dead of winter, Alternative Fuel became our silverlining!! We not only came back every day (played cards at our table while enjoying watching ice skating, made several newfriends, enjoyed a sweet visit with the owner), but once we finally headed where we were supposed to go, we planned our triphome around passing through Rapid and getting one last cup for the road! Our favorite by far was the dirty chai nog!! But wetried a few others as well and they were great too! Don?t pass up on the pastries or the quiche. Can?t wait to drive throughagain and treat ourselves. Read more

Sadly, the latte I asked for was made incorrectly then made again, incorrectly. I asked for an iced almond latte, mistake was... that they made it hot. And to correct they just pour the hot latte over ice. I threw it away, wasting it, after one sip. Thelittle breakfast burrito I got was good, 5/5 stars. I would probably return to try something other than the coffee, a smoothiemaybe! Accessibility: curb-cuts and minimal in the cafe Parking: street parking, parking garage, accessible spots available butnot super close by Seating: tables and chairs, arm chairs Options: drink, smoothies, burritos, pastries, shirts, earringsetc Staff: kind Restrooms: in the shopping complex Atmosphere: cozy Animals: service animals Kid Friendly: sure Read more

Wonderful little coffee house on the Main Street square. Awesome spot right next to the park. Went for breakfast (bagel sandwich... and a farmer?s quiche) which was so good. The owner was so kind and emphasizes using local products! The smoothies are very goodand refreshing. Their espresso is great, too!! Alternative Fuel exceeded my expectations! Come here for sure Read more

Our drinks were delicious, however it took way to long to get them to us. I guess the place was understaffed. I felt that the... staff could have been friendlier, but instead seemed flustered and didn't care to help me with my choice. It was my first timethere, so I had some questions about the drink choice, and they weren't really eager to help. The place seemed cute though, andwas also busy. A nice local alternative to Starbucks. Cute decor. Read more
