Came here on a chilly night for dinner. We had just arrived in Rapid City so my fiancé and I were excited to find a ramen spot... in town to keep us warm before we went back to our campsite. We were immediately greeted by the owner when we walked in. He wasvery friendly and welcoming (oh and he?s a Food Network star too!) I was excited to try the bison ramen as that?s a uniqueprotein you generally wouldn?t find in ramen but of course being in South Dakota- it made all the sense. The ramen texture wasperfectly ?al dente? nice and chewy, enriched in the sweet bison bone broth. The bison meat and egg were perfect. I just wasn?ttoo big of a fan of the arugula added on to it. My fiancé got the mushroom miso ramen and he also loved it. It had a variety ofcool mushrooms including a Black Hills mushroom. It tasted spongy yet sweet like bamboo pith (mushroom). We also tried theoxtail gyoza and it was great! Overall, Bokujo is a solid ramen spot and we never expected to find one in Rapid City. But wewere so glad we came to try. 10/10 warmed us up for the brisk night and we had a great time chatting with the owner Justin :)Highly recommend trying this spot! *P.S. their sign/logo is really cute. Absolute best food and vibes we?ve had the pleasure of enjoying. Easily our new favorite restaurant owned by the one and only... Justin Warner. The atmosphere and energy of the staff and owner was what made it all just come together and def made our tripextra special. We?ll be back the next time we visit Rapid City! Read more
Great find to stumble upon downtown. Food was delicious. Service was really great (just enough checking up and our waters were... always full). Super cute spot, cowboy themed ramen. Get yourself a shirt or something because their logo is hilarious. Read more
What a neat place. The best Ramen I have ever had. Wonderful, playful, authentic atmosphere. The owner and our waitress were so... kind and we had fantastic conversations with them. Our first time will definitely not be our last time!!! Read more
5 ?!! Food was Amazing!! Very unique and something Rapid City has never had. I rank it as one of my most favorite places to... eat! Justin is one of the most personable owners. 1st impressions - limited seating, atmosphere was cool, limited menu, food was good enough. It's a good addition for Rapid... City's foodies. I would have liked some rice and maybe a spring roll or California roll. Overall, I was happy with myexperience. The bowls are large & heavy, but watched one of the cooks pick them up with his thumb, inside the bowl severaltimes. I don't think he even realized he was doing it. Read more
Absolutely a great find. 100% should be on every persons list of musts - when planning a trip to Rapid City. If you are... fortunate enough to live in the area, I would definitely go weekly. This was absolutely delicious ramen! I got the bison bone broth ramen and added mushrooms and chili oil. The broth was rich and... wonderful. The noodles are fabulous. I can't recommend this enough. Justin Warner actually being there and seating us was anadded bonus. Him and his wife are so nice, it was a great experience. Read more
