The kid working here seemed nice. I told him it was my first eating there and asked what was in the chicken burrito. Long story... short- my first bite, and the rest of the burrito had small impossible to chew morsels in it that stuck in my teeth and I had topick out for 5 minutes. The flavors were good, and I could tell that the preparation was just horrible. The beef burrito was icecold. What a shame that they don't take price in their work. I won't be back. Read more
The evening staff is not nearly as attentive as the daytime staff. Everything we ordered was overcooked from the chicken to the... ole's. Even the tortillas were a bit on the overdone side. The store on Cambell St is far superior at all times of the day. Read more

Sadly I have to rate this place one star but not because of the staff. The staff here are very friendly, the facility is well... kept, the staff have great patience for newcomers ( this was the first time we visited and so I was unfamiliar with the menu )but unfortunately the food is not very tasty. My family and I were visiting South Dakota looking for something tasty to eat, wesaw a lot of advertisement for Taco John's throughout our drive. Did a bit of Google search and according to the reviews it'ssupposed to be somewhat Mexican cuisine. Obviously authentic Mexican food will be the best but we figured perhaps it would besomething like Taco Bell. We were wrong. I would easily choose Taco Bell over Taco John's . I Feel bad for the rating since thestaff were really kind here, very welcoming. But I would not recommend eating here due to the food not being very tasty. Itdoesn't taste horrible, it just has no flavor. And if your traveling as we were, not worth the expense. Maybe I'm wrong and it'ssuitable for your taste pallet but take my word for it if it comes down to fake authentic Mexican food just go to Taco Bell. Myapologies to the staff, not their fault. Walked in to place an order and noticed there is a ventilation problem. The grease filled air was thick, you can see it... floating around and can smell the grease as soon as you walk in. I feel for the employees having to breath that in for allthose hours. That can't be good. Our hair and clothes stink! Read more
The employees were nice, the restaurant looked clean but.....It took a long time to get our order. (We were understanding though... because they were very busy at the time). Once we finally received our order, we left and went to eat our lunch. We were notimpressed. The order was correct, but the food was not as good as previous visits to "Taco Johns" locations in the past. Therice on our chicken burritos wasn't even cooked at all. Rice SHOULD NOT be crunchy!! Also, we ordered 4 regular beef hardshelled tacos. The taco filling was like refried beans with a tiny bit of beef mixed in. Where's da beef?! It didn't taste righteither. We were traveling on a road trip so we didn't return to the store, but ended up tossing some of our lunch in the trash.Very disappointing. ???? Read more
Taco John?s? if you?re gonna put that much food in the family pack, could you please make sure your box is sturdy enough to hold... all that food, everything came out of the bottom and landed in the snow, ruining half the food, so that no one goes through thisagain, fix your boxes or use bags.
