We moved to Newport recently and saw there was a Chinese restaurant there in town and got excited. Where we come from, real... Chinese food is abundant and it?s one of our favorites. It?s safe to say that the Newport one is not real Chinese and was amajor disappointment all around. Some others we have tried in Spokane haven?t panned out very well So when we saw this place, wewere very reluctant but we thought one last try before we give up all together. While it?s not what we are used too, it has comethe closest and it also makes up with its own delicious flavors we haven?t experienced in other places. We absolutely love theclassic Chinese restaurant feel and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The prices are perfect for the amount of food youget, which is plenty for leftovers. We make the 42 minute drive anytime we want Chinese food. Read more

Looks a little run down on the outside but inside the Chinese food is pretty good. If you go for lunch they offer lunch... combinations. Every dish I got was cooked well and service was excellent. I especially liked the almond chicken. Read more
After doing some intensive Google searching we came upon this hidden gem in Rathdrum. We love Chinese food but are very picky... when it comes to ingredients. This place is spot on with genuine chow-mein flavor and crunchy noodles to boot. We have had areally hard time finding a place that has crunchy noodles in their chow-mein that's why I mentioned it. Anyway we had thecombination appetizer to get a good selection of their flavors. It was all very good and the crab wonton is awesome. I am not afan of fried rice I usually get sticky but forgot to tell the server, My family says it was good. It is really a must try ifyour looking for Chinese food in the area. The service was fast and the server was very friendly. The restaurant itself coulduse some upgrades, but it was clean. Read more
Just had carry-out from them 10/23/2022, our first time trying Wah Hing. We have tried most of the Chinese restaurants in North... Idaho previously. We heard great things about Wah Hing, and the good reviews are spot-on...I think we found our new favoriteChinese restaurant! We will dine-in next time, but the carry-out was great. We kept it simple - just had a family sized sweet'n sour chicken, a family size chicken fried rice, and some egg drop soup. The chicken they used was high quality, and for thesweet 'n sour chicken, it had a nice golden batter and was not greasy - it was cooked perfect. The chicken in the chicken friedrice was generous and the rice was light and fluffy - cooked to perfection. The egg drop soup was delicious and couldn't havebeen better. The staff on the phone was great to speak with and we were treated very well by the staff during pick-up -everyone there is super nice. Kudos to you, Wah Hing, you're doing a great job!!! Read more
