Discovered a new place on one of our many trips through Raton. Colfax Ale Cellar is worth a short trip into town. Menu has lots... of choices, food arrives piping hot & full of flavor. I had the stout and it was tasty. There was just one fellowbartending/serving but he did a great job taking care of the patrons. Read more
Delicious food, kind service and great beers. The establishment was a fun one, where you can bring your dog and hang out.... Lovely, prompt service and delicious draft, local beers and cocktails. They have a varied menu with classics like quesadillasand burgers, but really the cheese steak was a winner. Definitely a new local Raton favorite!!! Read more
Amazing small town environment. The bartender was knowledgeable and welcoming. I loved that this local brewery welcomed four... legged animals. I couldn't help but laugh that there was a gravity water dish neatly placed near the entrance and a doggy bedwas stowed away by the fireplace. There's nothing like drinking an ice cold craft beer and petting a beautiful dog next to me!!???? The Goat Hill was my favorite! Staff was friendly but didn't pay attention to the order. Part of the order never made it to the table. My brother's food came... out after I was completely done with my dinner. Always a pluse when the tables food comes out together. Green chili cheesesteakwas good but not memorable. The first items we chose we couldn't order. No brisket to make the dish. Perhaps this was an offafternoon but I wouldn't come back. We were given excuses about the kitchen closing early but we walked in at 4:30pm. Read more
Have you ever walked into a brewery with GREAT beer and met the man who brewed the beer? We have! This place was exceptional,... every beer we tried was so good. Worth the drive off the highway. Very down to earth folks. We got here a little before closingtime but it made our stay here in Raton worth the while. We will visit again. Read more
