We just moved to Ohio from Missouri. Which one of the things that MO is know for is our BBQ, so it'd be hard to beat. We... realized this going into the restaurant. The little bit of the "burnt ends" that I got had very good flavor. But "burnt ends"aren't even on their menu. The honey BBQ sauce wasn't good, but the mild sauce was delicious. The helping sizes weren't big atall, but was enough for me. My husband ate again when we got home. ???? The ice cream was enormous in size, but not the best. Myhusband's chocolate shake didn't have enough chocolate to it. We'll visit again ... but not for ice cream. Read more
Oh so tasty tender smoked turkey, it melted in my mouth. The creamy red skin potato salad was delicious the potatoes were cooked... just right. The mac n cheese had a smooth texture with an oh so yummy cheese taste. Can't leave out the Texas beans. One biteand it took me back to my days in San Antonio. I will be back. Price was good. I was really excited to try this place after hearing from a coworker that the spuds, queso and pulled pork were good. We were... told at the counter they were out of the spuds, so we got potato skins instead. We got our food and I specifically asked if whatwe received was a quarter pound of meat because it didn?t seem like that much (I noticed the order before mine that had frieshad a very small portion before we received our order). The potato skins were burnt looking and the whole meal wasunderwhelming, not to mention like $30 for what we got. The only thing I liked was the corn muffin which I thought was good.Definitely will not be returning here and I was sad we could have ate somewhere else for the money? Read more
My wife and I planned our daughter's high school graduation party here. The service was wonderful. They were attentive but not... intrusive. They made sure that food was available for the entire party. The food was excellent! We ordered pulled pork (forsliders), smoked sausage (kielbasa), wings and sides (potato salad, green beans, coleslaw). They offered three types of BBQsauces: honey, mild and hot. The hot isn't really hot but tasted good! The wings were some of the best cooked wings we everhad! The homemade ice cream was a hit, especially with the graduates! I was a little leery when I walked in, it's a very large place and there weren't many diners. No hostess or waitresses, you... order at the counter and you're giving a buzzer when it goes off you pick up your food. We tried the Brisket, the Ribs,Coleslaw, Potato salad and Texas Chili. For dessert we had ice cream cones. I would rate each of the menu items 5 stars. Verydelicious. The pictures of the ribs may not do them justice. The ribs are not sauced or rubbed, and are smoked perfectly, theywere very tender. A small side is $2 and is the size of most places large sides. If you're visiting the I-76 Antique Mall thisis less than a mile away and worth the trip. Read more
My wife and i love this place after only 3 times working our way thru the menu. Ice cream and scallop potatoes are to die for... but everything we've had was good too. The only small critique i would have is the meats need to be hotter. Though they arestill very good they are luke warm at best. This would be a five star review if i had to blow on it to take a bite. If meatscame out steaming this would be the best restaurant in portage county hands down. Read more
