Don't let some of the low ratings scare you. We happened to stop by this place by chance without reading any review and we were... glad we did. From outside, the place was old feel. There were outdoor picnic tables under tents. It was simple and unimpressivetbh. However, once we sat down, we were impressed by the food and service. The atmosphere actually grew on us. We had thefamily BBQ platter. The ribs were tender and juicy. I had BBQ in Texas, Kansas, Carolinas, etc. The BBQ here is as good as otherplaces I visited. Furthermore, we got a lot of food. The platter came with half chicken, pulled porks, a full rack of pork ribs,and three sides. It was enough to feed my family of four. It was a great value. Hmmm, I'm still salivating thinking aboutit. The service was great. We had a young lady who was friendly. The place was getting busy and started to fill up. She tookcare of our food and drinks promptly. We left her a good tip. While we were eating, an artist showed up on stage and sangblues, countries, classic rocks and more. The atmosphere was really great. We originally just wanted to grab a quick bite andget on the road. We ended up spending more time than we planned because of the good food, music and atmosphere. Service was fine. Food was not. I ordered the BBQ lovers pulled pork had no flavor, the chicken was ok, and the ribs also lacked... flavor. Ordered wings for an appetizer and they had no sauce at all on them. The total bill was almost 80 dollars. Could havepaid half the price and gotten better BBQ from a BBQ food truck. Wow, what an experience. We were so glad we decided to travel this route back to Lake George. Ee were in area scouting for... moose and we found one in clearing on Rt 30. Picture not that great but still exciting to see. If you are in the area, this isa MUST STOP DESTINATION! There is so much to take in and the atmosphere is upbeat/welcoming. Don't let the crowds turn youaway as it is DEFINITELY worth the wait. Despite being very busy and towards the late evening, service was exceptional. Brooksdid an amazing job. He returned to tanke multiple times to ensure we were well taken care of. The drink server was runningaround like a crazy oerson but was very efficient. Food was soooo good. The lobster boil is to die for. Lobster was sweet andcooked to perfection. The bacon wrapped hotdog is very good. The fish and chips were good bur fish just a littledry. Overall experience is worth coming back for even despite distance from Lake George. Read more
Came here on a crazy night. A live musician and 60 baseball players with their family's. For the pressure put on the staff i... think they did amazing. I enjoyed their ribs, pulled pork and chicken platter with corn on the cob, potato salad and corn bread.Worth the wait and will return Read more
Food was great. Definitely get the waffle fries. Best fries I have ever had. Very hard-working staff. Received my order quickly.... Very friendly staff. Worth a stop while the weather is still good. There are small cabins for rent as well. Just bring your ownlinens. Read more
Got there at 4:30 just before the crowd so didn?t have to wait too long for food. The ribs were tender and delicious as were... the sides of potato salad and collards. The pulled pork sandwich was stuffed with pork and also delicious. Plus a bonus wasthe waffle fries?best ever. Good food, good drinks, good music- can?t go wrong. Read more
Value for money is pretty good. It came to $32 before tip for what's pictured. The food was not bad, but the pulled pork was... super varied. Some bites moist and delicious, others dry, and one bite in particular was super spicy. The fries were prettymushy, but the coleslaw was delightful. The bread was pretty bland, but seems like maybe if it were warm it would have beenquite a bit better. The worst part was that the bathrooms are all outdoors with no changing tables. It was pretty difficult andchilly for the poor baby. Read more
