Very good!! got the seafood martini which was popcorn shrimp, boiled jumbo shrimp with delicious lump crabmeat on top. Also got... the eggplant with crab cake on top! It was all delicious. Read more

Great Dinner. Chef Roy's is located just off if I-10 but set back and hard to see. It is just north of I-10 on the left side... just before the Days Inn. The clerk at the Best Western Motel recommended it. I wanted a good Louisianna Seafood dinner and Iwas not disappointed. I ordered the seafood platter grilled (You have a choice of fried or grilled) and it was great! Theplatter consisted of 6 small shrimp, stuffed shrimp, 3 or 4 oysters, crab cake, blackened catfish fillet, and a frog leg. Theplatter included a very good salad (the ranch dressing was great) and bread. For a slight up-charge I had the eggplant fries -they were not only different, but good. My server, Ashley, did a great job, she was courteous, helpful and efficient. Thedinner, with a unsweet tea was $34.36 before gratuity - which is a good value. The owner came through the dining room to seehow everyone was enjoying their dinner. He seemed to know many of the patrons, which led me to believe that this is a localplace. This place is consistently good! One of those hidden away destinations you don't always think about but the locals know is... amazing. Friendly staff. Seafood gumbo is great. Fish is all good. The lunch Crab White Lake is fantastic. Put this one onyour list. Read more

Stopped in on the way back to Houston. Wow! This place had some great food. The fried shrimp and fish were delicious. Also the... jelly oysters were awesome!! Give this place a try, you will be happy you did. Oh yah, they had the best sweet potato friesever. Read more
