Lobster roll was overflowing with lobster and the roll was buttered plus toasted perfectly. Clam chowder was similar to a potato... cheese soup but with a lot of clams. It was a thin soup, with an excellent blend of herbs, and a creamy texture. The best clamchowder I had in Boston. Cesar side salad and coleslaw were generous portions and had solid flavor. Read more
This was my first time going here and we got a takeout order. The Italian sandwiches and meals looked very good. I opted for the... house salad with grilled chicken. The house salad was 8.00. It came in a small shallow takeout container with some lettuce, 2pieces of tomato, some red onion and a few shredded carrots. No cucumber or any extras like olives. The chicken came in aseparate small container. I believe it was grilled. Very small slices and was an additional 6.00 to add to the salad. The saladcost 14.00. Definitely not worth the cost. This was my lunch. Very small compared to other places serving lunch and dinnersalads with add on proteins. I took a photo of the salad but nowhere to post. If you go here DO NOT order a salad for a meal.You will leave hungry. Read more
Great waitress,very patient with our very demanding group of 10 people. It seemed they were shorthanded, waited for our food for... a while. The food were big portioned so definitely plenty of leftovers. Typical delicious Italian. Great sauce. Lots of parking. Read more
We went here for an early lunch after my Mom's funeral services. So glad we did. The food was delicious and plentiful. But most... of all the service felt like family. Three generations enjoyed an early Sunday dinner at Fusilli's. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and... attentive. They serve a family size bowl of salad and fresh bread. Everyone loved the Italian Nachos and garlic shrimpappetizers. Servings are ample, so there were a lot of take home containers that were individually wrapped. This is a reallynice place. Read more
3 strikes and you?re out! Let me explain, and start off by saying I just moved to Reading and bought my home across from this... restaurant and REALLY wanted to like them but 3 consecutive bad experiences has made that impossible. First visit we are denieda spot in the bar despite the fact that more than half the tables were vacant, so we left. Second trip we only came over for acouple drinks but showed up a half hour before closing so were refused any service. It doesn?t take me but 10 minutes towhistle down a Guinness so this was obviously a bummer. Third visit was the straw that broke the camel?s back. The wife and Ishowed up early for drinks and were allowed to sit at the bar (hooray!) but were immediately accosted by the female bartenderabout ordering food. We said maybe later but after ordering our second round were told we needed to order food if we were goingto stay so I said I?d order a pizza in a bit (planning to bring home to the kid) and this obviously irritated the bartender. When we attempted to order a third (and final) round of drinks the bartender asked us directly if we planned on eating or not,and ?reminded? us this was a restaurant. She was beyond rude and it was extremely embarrassing, as if she thought we wereplanning on skipping out on paying the tab. Needless to say we ordered the pizza and paid our tab and left. Before leaving sheattempted to tell us she didn?t mean to be rude, but all too little too late. I will never go back to this place and would notrecommend it to anyone who wants to feel welcome in a new spot. We enjoyed a delightful meal of chicken piccata, really fabulous every time, and broiled haddock ( cooked to perfection)with... mashed potatoes and green beans. Be aware, there is a 2 drink maximum limit, even if you bring a designed driver. Very disappointing. The waitress was very... engaging and delivered on our order as requested. When I ordered my 3rd cocktail, which was average, I was informed there wasa 2 drink limit. I wasn't driving and they pulled it after being charged for it. There are lots of other options in the area,I would suggest dinning there before dinning here. I wouldn't come back nor suggest other to visit since there are lots ofoptions in the area. Read more
