Nice spot with a very affordable menu. We got a Coney Island dog, cheese dog, BEG dog, and bbq bacon dog plus a plain hot dog.... All were really good choices. And French fries with cheese. Good fries with quality like fresh cut fries. Only two spots outfront to Park according to the sign by the curb. Will definitely be back. Read more
I made this my lunch destination for a 125 mile motorcycle ride. I'm always happy when I can find a small old time restaurant... with food and prices to match. The restaurant was very clean and uncrowded (I missed the lunch rush). I ordered 2 Coney dogsand a Coney burger, their original menu items from 1933. The food was good but don't expect hipster gourmet here. It wassimple and tasty and priced to match. It will probably be a while before I make my way to Reading again but I'll be sure to stopin here when I do! Read more

I just went for the 1st time yesterday with my mom, it was close to where I picked her up and we decided to give it a try. The... Dog House is a small mom n pop shop open since the 80's, serving mainly as you would have guessed, Hotdogs! They also haveburgers, fries soups and chili. They have house special dogs and a good variety of toppings to customize what you want how youwant it. Our experience here was very good! The service was quite pleasant, the hotdogs and fries were delicious. The restaurantis small and clean, they have 15 minute limit parking sign up front that made me personally a little nervous because I didntknow how long we'd take so i parked at the advanced auto parts since we needed to go in there after anyway. The nice ladyworking there noticed I moved so when we walked in she told us not to worry about the time limit, that it would've been fine.Incase that sort of thing makes you nervous too. What an awesome little place to have dinner. They have a great menu and great local sources products. I had a Berks dog with... cheese, bacon, and scrapple and a cony island dog with cheese,chili, and onions. The fries look hand cut. This is a definitestop if you are in Shillington. Read more
If you like Coney Island Hotdogs and burgers than this is the place for you. I've loved their food for as long as I can... remember. I grew up in this area and The Dog House has always been here and the food has remained the same. ALWAYS THE BEST DOGSAND BURGERS with tons of toppings but you really have to get the Burgers and dogs coney island style. I don't know of anyonethat doesn't love the dog house except for people that don't have taste buds. Lol.....the prices are great and there is nothingbetter than great food for a great price, but even if you don't like all those types of toppings, just and regular burger or hotdog works too.
