We had a great time here!! The fish and chips were a popular selection, I enjoyed oysters and the Caesar salad. It was so good... to have the vinaigrette dressing instead of the creamy Caesar from a bottle. There were also a lot of great beer draft options! Will go here again next time I am in town! Read more

Excellent meal. Just got into town for a work trip. Found this place close to the hotel. Oysters were awesome and the beer was... good and cold after a long day on the road. I recommend the number 7 from the draft list. Don’t be on the fence go here andenjoy your meal with friends and family Read more

Tried to have dinner here on what was supposed to be a celebration. We walked in and asked if our car was okay parked where it... was and we were told to move it into a lot. While one of us waited, the other attempted to move the car to the lot. The pay byapp parking didn’t work and we were forced to leave. I had ordered a draft beer and single vodka tonic, which they charged us$12 for and we never touched it. No clue, no compassion……..don’t waste your time trying to eat here. Read more

Hidden gem in Reading, at least for me. Finally decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. I had the blue point raw oysters as... an appetizer and they are incredible, super fresh and delicious ???? Opted for the fish and chips as an entree and they were onpoint! Lightly breaded well seasoned thick pieces of pollock fried to perfection???? I love the old bar and the old schoolambience. Perfect place on a cold winter day to sit by the fire and enjoy some good food???? Read more

The food was amazing and the service was warm, friendly, and fantastic. We got the ugly pretzel and it did not disappoint. The... crab and pretzel combination hit the spot. I got the fish and chips and the fries were amazing. The fish was flaky and thebreading was just right. Read more

The Ugly Oyster Drafthaus was very cute! We had the Crab dip which was very good. It was served with bread, pretzels and sesame... seed crackers. We tried the house oysters from Virginia which were good - had a slight grassy finish but a soft brine and plumpmeat. We also tried the Mapaque, from Prince Edward Island which had a heavy briny flavor and was quite delicious. We then hadthe steamed little neck class and snow crab legs. The clams were fantastic but the Crab legs were over cooked. We tried the handcut french fries - we were excited for the malt vinegar on the table but the first bottle was not good (it was sitting in thewindow) and the second bottle was watered down. It was kind of disappointing. The garlic bread sides were good - missing thegarlic so it was more like a buttery toasted bread. The other people we were with liked their entrees - the portobello mushroomsandwich and grilled chicken salad. Overall, the experience was pretty good - we would probably come back and give some of theother seafood options a try. The overcooked crablegs and bad malt vinegar are the reasons for the 4 stars.
