Service Was Great And The Food Was Authentic Chinese In The Heart Of Chinatown. Will Definitely Visit Again When In The Area

Honestly this was really disappointing. I used to go to Temple all the time before I moved out of the area. My partner and I... stopped on our way home from the beach as we used to love this place. Firstly, we weren't offered the specials even though weoverheard several tables offered. It was incredibly difficult to get a refill for my partner's drink. They took my partner'splate before asking if he was finished. I was asked dif I wanted dessert while I still had my fork in my hand eatingdinner. The filet mignon egg rolls were bland and tasted like dry roast beef and wilted cabbage. The chicken egg drop soup wasbarely more than lukewarm. He ordered the duck, which was supposed to be half a duck. Wasn't anticipating half a duck would betwo drumsticks/thighs. The skin was perfect but the duck was incredibly oily and poorly cooked. I ordered the scallopstangerine. Half of them were cooked well and half had raw batter inside. The restaurant is clearly in need of maintenance.While the aesthetic is beautiful, it's the same decor and paint for approximately 15 years and there's clear gouges in the wallswith white chunks showing beneath the dark grey paint. The bathrooms were in poor condition. The restaurant had maybe 6 othertables on a Saturday at 6pm so the quality of service isn't acceptable. It was very slow inside the restaurant for inattentiveservice, the amount of pressure to finish quickly, and the poor quality of food. The same chef is the new owner & the name has been changed. The food is still the same & just as delicious. They are able to do... gluten free options - which is amazing & hard to find with Asian food. Lettuce wraps are a must have. The calamari is socrispy!! We tried a trio of chicken & all are delicious. The sesame chicken is so crunchy and tasty! Great service with friendlystaff. Definitely stop here for Chinese! Read more

The meal was awesome. Food service always top notch. It is very inexpensive for the quantity and atmosphere. Took my picky... parents and they loved it. Took my whole church here 22 of us for Christmas Eve a bill with tip 650 buckS. Have spent that muchfor 2 in NY. We are blessed to have a great Chinese restaurant like this in Red Bank. Read more

They have updated their menu and we go at least once a week because the food and service is always great. During times when it... is hard to get good service they do a great job. We have not found anything that we did not love. The BYOB is also nice inkeeping the cost down. Also enjoy sitting outside when nice out. Read more

It was just OK. My partner and I got the appetizer for two with spring rolls, spare ribs, calamari, and chicken and beef skewers... and fried dumpling, the skewers were the best part of the meal but the calamari were tough and “fishy” we could not even eatthem. The imperial chicken was fine but the chicken chow fun noodles were all broken up And looked like a mash. It wasn’tthe worst but it wasn’t the best. We just became devoted TEMPLE customers. Yesterday was our first visit here. They did everything to perfection. We devoured our... way through spring rolls, corn chicken soup, a whole Peking duck, hit chocolate lava cake with ice cream. We were in a bit of ahurry to catch a show. Good quality meats. We enjoyed the beef with broccoli and chicken imperial. Would have liked the the chicken to be consistent... and crispy. Some of the chicken just sauce without the crunch. Portions and service was good. I’ve had the lobster fried ricehere another time and it was delicious. I will be back again. Read more
