Cute place. Clean. However, we weren't greeted when entering even though there were employees working. There is a card on the... table that tells you to seat yourself and place orders at the window. Food was decent. Nothing superb. They have some strange ordering system that I did not understand. I guess you are supposed to... get a beeper when it's your turn to order. Then you get a number for your table. No clue. I didn't do it right. Tiny little roomwith tables on top of each other. Nobody smiled. I guess I'm just not used to this kind of service. What a gem! This Diner gets Props for Food AND Ambiance. They offer breakfast until 11am and then have a nice offering for... entrees, sandwiches and burgers. Don't forget the dessert. Currently, you pick your table then go to the counter to order. Theydeliver to your table. Outdoor patio with views galore or cute vintage diner vibe inside. I had the Daisy and Daffy (?) Eggbreakfast and my guy tried breakfast enchiladas. Delicious! We highly recommend this place and will be back. Read more

First of all I've been coming to Red River for years and have always had a good experience here. I love the food but last week I... was there, went in and there only 2 tables with patrons. I walked up to the counter and the owner/manager/ asked me what Ineeded. I told him I needed to place an order and he said we are busy, take a beeper and you can order when its you turn. Fine,I understand. I own a business myself and understand staffing issues and things like that. He seemed very put out that I wouldjust walk up to the counter, but that's how it used to be. I didn't know. Sat for 30 mins with my beeper waiting for thatdelicious food and in walks a local I've known for years and he walks right up to the counter and orders a huge meal. I'mthinking I've been waiting for 30 mins just to order and now I have to wait behind this guy and all the other orders ahead ofme. I guess there is such a thing as Home Town Advantage. It was a cute restaurant. The ordering procedure was a bit weird, snag a table then order, and they deliver it to you. The staff... seemed stressed but the restaurant didn't seem that busy. My SO ordered the open face turkey sandwich, The green beans werebland but managed to taste heavily of vinegar. I saw bacon in them but couldn't taste the bacon. The turkey was cooked too longon the flat top or to long exposed to the air, the gravy was SALTY!!! However, the mashed potatoes were fantastic!!! I had theFrench dip with green chile. The seating was a little weird you pick your table, they give you a menu, then... you get up and go to the counter to order and they give you a name for your table (although someone may snag your table whileyour oredering...happened to us ???????)
