Great mix of decor and design make this place feel like a sports bar on one hand and also at the same time a trendy upscale... place to go to after the Sheldon theater. It's menu follows the same feel. You can get a smash burger or a dressed up hotdog. Onthe flip side you can get oysters or grilled flank steak. All food you can tell is freshly prepared right there. The ballparkburger and the salmon burger with the rosemary fries are great choices, followed by their homemade carrot cake. Food is amazing!Will be going back to try many more appetizers and entrees. Was in town for a conference and this was the closest open restaurant to my hotel. Had a modern atmosphere with pool table area... and bar. I chose to sit outside as it was a nice evening. Server was friendly and prompt, and was always checking up on me. Itried the duck wontons, cheese dice and wings with the dry rub appetizers. All three of these were good and full of flavor. Formy main course I have the bahn mi on bahn mi. This was an amazing burger with a good bahn mi flavor, really hit the spot. Priceswere reasonable. Great spot in Redwing. Redwing has a lot of history so it?s not hard to stay busy when your downtown. Home Plate Grill is a... great place to get some great craft cocktails as well as interesting spins on menu classics. Our server wasn?t very attentivebut overall we enjoyed ourselves. Read more

We had the best experience there tonight! Wonderful setting, delicious food, and fantastic service. I had the wild rice soup... (super yummy) and hubby had the Dugout Burger. We will be back! Wish we lived here still so we could become regulars. Lookingforward to wearing my sweatshirt. Read more
Two of us ate lunch here. We ordered the Dugout Burger w/garden salad, BBQ Pork Sandwich w/tots, beer and a soda. The Dugout... Burger was very good, perfectly cooked quality hamburger, topped with a Great bacon jam and served on a Brioche bun. I woulddefinitely order this burger again. The garden salad was fresh and crisp, the Blue cheese dressing was homemade. The BBQ porksandwich was a large tasty portion, enough for two. The tots were some of the best I have eaten, not greasy, good potatotaste. The beer selection provided a very good variety, something for all beer drinkers. The restaurant was very clean as werethe bathrooms. I would highly recommend this bar & grill. We will be returning for more good food. Read more
We have been here a few times now and have enjoyed our visit every time. The menu has recently expanded and dessert items have... been added. This is the only place we've found around town that offers pool tables! We always get the burger (they're likebutter burgers) with bacon jam, rosemary fries and a side salad with bleu cheese & shrimp. The chocolate cake is also on point -not too sweet while plenty rich.
