I ordered a local beer Fall River IPA and a Fish and Chips, the view from my table was really nice, overlooking the Bridge Bay... and the Bridge. The Highway and railroad on the bridge were busy with traffic and freight trains, and it’s very nice to watchduring the dinner, since I was just traveling alone, but never lonely.???????? I took a nice postprandial walk to the waterafter dinner, and sat on the chairs watching the sunset. It was a Thursday’s, so it was really quiet and peaceful! Highlyrecommended! Read more

Prime Rib and potatoes look like they've been on the plate for an hour before I got it and we're cold. Out of asparagus replaced... with side salad and what should have been blue cheese. The runny white sauce had no flavor and was curdled. My tummy is a bitupset. Read more

Although location and atmosphere is pleasant it being 2022 I didn't realize racism was a normal thing for this company to put... forward but isn't unusual for people to have entitlement once they start getting business till other people start to openingtheir eyes and they get shut down I'm writing this to let other people know how they will be treated so that they don't make amistake in driving there just to have to be surrounded by people that are gonna be fake we all need to grow up this isn'thigh-school money is money regardless of the color it comes from I hope one day karma will show u how u should present yourselfwhen it comes to managing a "respectable " business.who knows maby they can stay open for more than just a couple months at atime if management can learn the basics of equity or not I don't care honestly kinda sad. I am often in Shasta County for work and I was fortunate to be Emily guest for dinner on May 13, 2022. I was looking forward to... this experience and made sure my busy work schedule could accommodate my visit to The Cookhouse as I was privy to all the hardwork that Emily put forth to aid the place in opening back up. I have experienced Emily’s service at another restaurant intown and it has always been exceptional. This time was no exception. Emily’s service was excellent and she made the atmosphereat The Cookhouse much more enjoyable. Unfortunately, it is my understanding that she has been let go for what I understand to bean arbitrary reason. For this reason, I do not intend to return to The Cookhouse. It is the people that make a place enjoyableand not the place itself. The Cookhouse has lost a great person and a customer. Read more
