BEWARE: "KETO" ACAI BOWLS AREN'T REALLY KETO. THEY CONTAIN BANANAS IN THE BASE AND ARE TINY BOWLS (Bananas are the worst fruit... for keto diets, diabetes, etc). The "keto" bowls are about 1/3 the size of normal sized bowls that you see in all their picture(this information is not posted anywhere on their menu). I learned this the hard way. This place quickly became a favorite andI told all my friends and family about it. Every time I came, I ordered the keto bowl and there were different employees at eachvisit. Each time I got a normal size bowl. The other day I came in and to my surprise received a tiny bowl. I asked the ladyworking about it (who happened to be the manager) and she seemed irritated with me. She told me that keto bowls are always thatsmall which was not true in my experience. I tried to explain but she was kind of cutting me short. It was really terriblecustomer service. Eventually she did offer back a refund and a voucher for another bowl. So a few days later, I go to redeem itand the owner is there who also seems irritated with me for the inciden and the fact that I was offered a voucher. She told methat groceries aren't cheap nowadays, which I totally understand, but that's not a professional thing to say to a customer. WhenI tried the bowl it tasted overwhelming like banana. I called to ask about the base and the owner confirmed there is indeedbanana in the bowl! I ended up giving the bowl away because I strictly cannot have banana. Needless to say, they lost ourbusiness. My friends and family will also not return since I shared my experience with them. Really bummed because I live inthe neighborhood and wanted to support local businesses. But oh well, there a tons of other places with acai bowls that aretransparent about the product (ingredients and size) and have great customer service. Read more
I am disappointed with my order. I used to absolutely love coming here. My bowl tastes amazing but I paid $12 for a bowl and the... container was barely filled to the halfway point and the other had more granola that actual açaí. I am typically a Nektar customer, but while waiting to kill time before an appointment, I stopped by Badger Bowls? their bowls... are so much better than any others I have had in the area. Went to bager bowls for the first time today. I really liked the smoothie bowl I had was very tasty and filling but i was... disappointed when i saw only a little sprinkel of chia and flaxseeds on top i was thinking the chia seeds were gonna be expandedthey were not and as for the collagen hopefully it was added but like i said i liked but i won't add any extra. I tried theavacado toast to, but I can seriously make better at home it's just a green spread that was bland and the egg was bland on topas well just all and all okay. I'll come back for a smoothie bowl once in awhile, but I will try some place else to see if I canfind better here I'll just use for a quick smoothie bowl fix or to have something healthy.
