I was really excited and I?m not going to lie I even attempted coming a few times. The wait was insane so I always ended up... leaving until I finally thought of making online reservation which worked out wonderfully for my and I.. we heard great wellactually delicious descriptions of their coffee cake so we decided we had to be a part of craze.. we were met with greathospitality and you can quickly see the team work amongst the servers. As soon as we touched that table we put in our coffeecake orders and let me tell you it was absolutely everything we heard it was plus some. We of course had our entrees and thosetoo were beyond words.. the food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Most importantly the atmosphere was great:filled with family and friends. The staff are great and friendly. Plus if you want to eat here make sure to come early or prepare to wait. But the food is good... and make sure to come hungry because the portions are big. Plus the coffee cake that have is really good as well. Overall nocomplaints with this restaurant plus it?s nice you can either eat inside or outside. The place was busy and at the same time they were able to sit me right away. the staff was friendly and the food was great It... was served in a timely manner too... I told the waitress to pick me something I would want to come back and have again. I dntknow I'd what she liked was my taste but it wasn't bad it was good. Then because I trusted her she gave me a jewel of a gift.She gave me a complimentary coffee cake. That was on point. it was moist fresh and piping hot. so good with butter on it..perfect pairing with my coffee. Great food! Had the mushroom Swiss burger. Tasty! Coffee cakes were the bomb too, not too sweet but had depth and texture. Would... definitely come back to try more stuff here. Worth checking out. Read more
This spot gets busy fast! I highly recommend getting on their yelp wait-list beforehand. I got the biscuits Benedict! The... poached eggs were lovely, the biscuits light and fluffy, the star of the show, for me, were the sausage patties! They're morespiced than the average breakfast sausage and I really liked that! My portion was too big for me to eat in one sitting. But myhusband's... He got the California scrambler, they said the portion is 3 eggs but it came out looking really small. Yourmileage may vary, but it wasn't a lot of food when we were there. Overall, it's worth giving it a try! I almost forgot, thecoffee cake is really good! Loved this place. I decided to go here on Presidents Day, and let me tell you it was packed. Thankfully since I went by myself I... got a seat at the bar in about 10 minutes. I ordered a coffee and eggs Benedict. The coffee was delicious and the staff were ontheir toes about refilling your coffee without having to ask them to come over, so that level of attentiveness was great. EggsBenedict came out and let me say it was delicious. The potatoes were not undercooked, they were properly seasoned and includedpeppers and onions. We dined here today for the first time and we were happy with the overall experience.We checked in on Yelp ahead of time to save... some time on waiting otherwise the wait time is typically long. The indoor dining was bustling with people so we opted thepatio.We had the Chorizo and egg scrambler,Cinnamon roll French toast,and coffee cake.The chorizo and egg scrambler was meh as Ididn?t find it so flavorful but for the price that includes a side and a slice of coffee cake it was worth. 4.5 STARS!! We ate at Carolyn's Cafe for the first time today. I ordered the corned beef hash and my husband ordered the... chilaquiles. My husband had their coffee. The corned been hash was good, but I felt that the potatoes were diced too large andweren't crispy because of that. They had a more "soft" and "mushy" consistency, which is not my preference in a hash. But theflavor was great! The salsa it came with was tasty! My husband LOVED the chilaquiles! Tortilla chips were crispy even thoughthey had salsa on them, the over-medium egg on top was cooked perfectly over-medium! Both salsas were DELICIOUS! That is sayinga lot being that we're Hispanic and LOVE homemade salsas! Their coffee was not good though.. very weak and didn't even have thecoffee smell every coffee lover LOVES! That was disappointing being that we also had their coffee cake and it was By far, theBEST coffee cake we've EVER HAD! Moist, fluffy, flavourful, and a large portion with a dollop of butter on top which just gaveit the extra touch of perfection! Paired with great coffee this would have been a 5/5!
