We went to Rok N Fondue for my daughter's birthday. We started with the sun-dried formaggio cheese fondue as an appetizer and it... was great. We had the fondue feast and surf and turf. Both entrees combined were not very filling but it was good. The downerwas the service. Our waitress rarely checked on us. When we would ask for something it took what seemed to be too long for whatwas asked for. We went during mid week so it wasn't busy. It was our first time eating here. Nice restaurants. Fondue was good steak and chicken was good as well. Really busy on a Saturday night reservation at 5:30pm... got seated around 6:10pm . Soda machine wasn't working so that was disappointing. And you do have to cook your food when theybring it out on a hot brick . Just be prepared to cook your own food . It was an amazing experience. The food was great and fun. The space is a little tight, good for an intimate couple, but the... atmosphere is worth it. The location is very is on a very artsy part of town, between "umbrella alley" and Ed Hale park, greatplace for a milestone date or anniversary. ****Definitely recommend this place ***** My friend wanted to take to this place and surprise me and honestly it was so perfect... ! He made reservations for 8pm . We came June 24,2022 ?? We waited for our table and got seated up stairs . The atmosphere wasnice , the lighting was romantic , the bar was nice ???????? The stairs where steep but nothing to difficult. Our server wasJacob and he was so funny and attentive. We got the cheese Sun Dried Formaggio ( definitely get this it’s fire ????) it hasan Italian taste but so delicious ????! Then we got vegan meatballs nothing fancy . The Rok entrees where spectacular! We gotthe chicken / shrimp with loaded mash potatoes, asparagus! Everything we got was delicious and the cooking the chicken on therok was a nice experience ?????????????? this has to be one of the best dates I have ever gone . I really enjoyed myself ! Cons: the gratuity fee that they charge you and don't tell you ahead of time. The chips they give you for the fondue were stale.... Smh. The table was still dirty when we arrived and we were the first people to arrive when they opened. Pros: Our waiter wasgreat, she was very helpful. The alcoholic drinks were delicious. The Rok meals were pretty good, but they are a little stingywith the seasonings. Nice atmosphere over all. Read more
I recommend this place for sure because of their different typeof fondue they have and all were really good. Waiters will... explain fondue for you and make it on top of small heater on the table with you. the vibe, the music and the girl who singingwere great. the cocktail was pretty good as well especially the margarita (with sthing) it was really nice. we had a reservationand were late for 20 minutes m but waiting to get the table around 45 min! the lamb rack wasnt my favorite but the way theypresent them on the top of hot rock it was fun. and you can cook it more if you want. it was my friend BD and they give us freechampagne. If you love fondue, this is the place to go! They have a variety of menu items, good salads and entrees. We loved the Brussels... sprouts, garlic mashed potatoes and vegan meatballs. My family and I came here for a quick bite. This place is more of sit down and enjoy your meal spot, but we where on a time... crunch. Regardless the service here is excellent, the waiters know their menu. Our waiter helped us choose our appetizers. TheRok•N•Chedder Fondue, the Ahi Tuna Tartare, and Bruschetta. All tasted very delicious. Although we did not get full entrees,the food looked plus smelled amazing. We are looking forward to coming back for the full sit down experience. 11/2022 update,we had a sit down and eat experience today and we where so pleased. The crab cakes are delightful with the aioli sauce. We hadthe pesto orzo, and a fondue feast. I must say everything tasted delicious. The experience was great. The dips provided for thefeast complimented them well. A teriyaki twist, chimichurri, plus the spicy and sweet sauce. Read more
