Sushi Kimo is a genuine Japanese sushi spot. The sushi chef is always so happy to connect with his customers and does so through... language barriers by sporting a large, gregarious smile. His affability crosses cultures as he prepares the freshest fish (onTuesdays) in the most thoughtful manner. Though I wonder what will become of this place when Chef Kimo retires, it is stillgoing strong today! Read more

I'm not quite understanding how this place got such high ratings. Walked in, the place was empty. Possibly because the air... conditioning wasn't working. 1 employee visible a Nice man. We ordered a spicy tuna roll a California roll and shrimp tempura3 cokes. My spicy tuna was the worst I've ever had. I enjoy the freshness of that particular roll. However, the roll which wasserved literally tasted like it had come out of a tuna can covered on mayonnaise. The roll fell apart immediately and was tinycompared to the size of most rolls. The 3 cokes which we received were canned sodas ( don't mind it) however, they wereFLAT.... ID HAVE TO SAY THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD. total bill was 43.00..... Not worth 43.00. Sushi Kimo is a quaint little place, perfectly captures a Japanese feel. One of the few actual Japanese owned joints in town.... One of my favorite places to eat, foods good, owner and staff are friendly. I would recommend it. Read more

This is our go-to Japanese/sushi restaurant in Redlands. We've always found the sushi to be fresh and expertly made. We've had... Japanese curry here as well--which is not always easy to find--and it too is delicious. The service is friendly. This place iseasy to miss but worth the visit. Read more

Very, very good sushi provided by a classic old-school sushi chef who truly cares about what he is doing and what he provides... for his customers. The interior is authentic to the small mom & pop sushi bars found throughout Japan's small cities and outerareas of the big cities. We found it a wonderful experience and an excellent value. The support staff people are the icing onthe cake as they are warm, quick and very efficient. Read more

I would say this is probably the most underrated restaurant in Inland Empire. The location and the exterior appreance makes it... looks like an average place that serves average food, at least that's what I thought till I went there...The nigiri and shashimithere are so fresh, authentic and delicious, and I haven't had sushi with better quality in Southern California so far that'swhy this is definitely my to go place for sushi in future.
