I was seated outside along with 3 or so other parties. The servers did not notice me and another party and I waited about 10... minutes until I finally went to seek service. The server was really nice but she admitted that they did not know we were seatedoutside and waiting. Could've been prevented with better communication between the host and the servers. I ordered the applepancake specialty. While the apples and glaze were delicious, the pancake itself was really thick and doughy and I thought itwould have been more fluffy. I probably won't order it again. I will have to come back to try the more traditional pancakes. Butas of now, I can say that the Family Pancake House might be the better local option for breakfast. This might be the worst chicken fried steak I have ever had. It had absolutely no flavor and was chewy at times. Also, I have... never seen one so thin before. The gravy desperately needed salt and pepper and seemed to be missing sausage from the sausagegravy. Service was also inconsistent and slow. The bacon and pancakes were good however. Read more

This was my very first time at The Original Pancake House and the experience left me not very impressed. First off I did not... realize that this place closed at 3pm and I arrived at around 2:25 which is why I felt that I received the service I did whichis still no excuse for bad service. It took them 10 minutes to put our order in which case normally wouldn?t be a big deal butgiven that that just ate up 1/3 of the time we had left with literally 2 mins to eat when we did get our food was terrible. Thefood arrived with the check which was poor taste in my mind. They had no other condiments other than ketchup and the amount ofketchup they gave me compared to the amount of potatoes they gave me was a joke!! The only reason I gave them 3 stars was that Irecognize that this bad experience was not entirely their fault and that the few bites I had tasted good. Bottom line terribleservice and high prices. Love this place on a weekend morning, eggs Benedict are simply delicious with hash brown, also the plain waffle with Canadian... bacon and scramble egg is satisfying, and their coffee is well balanced. Friendly staff and courteous service, but do expect awaiting time of 15 min at least, the wait is worth it. Read more
