Rex Steakhouse is 5 out 10. The service is debonair Justin was 10 out of 10 . I was seated quickly upon my reservation. I was... given a complimentary glass of prosecco for starters the tuna crudo was the best ive ever had i also had the mushroomparpadelle which was very tasty i had the whole brazino cooked to perfection my partner had the new york steak also rib eye andwe had the captains cocktail shrimp and pistachio homemade icecream. Everything is well prepared. Only downside are the steaksdo take long to come out it takes 30 mins for cooking then they let it sit . Best dining experience in California and 10/10 service! The food was absolutely excellent (I had the NY strip and it was by far... the best steak I have ever had). Our server, Justin, was very helpful and took the time to explain the menu to help us decide ondrinks, appetizers, and the main course. It was an added bonus when the manager, Franklin, and Chef Walter each visited ourtable to check in on us. I will be returning every single time I visit the LA area. Thank you!! Read more
We were walk ups so the only available seats were at the bar. If you are 5’3” or shorter bar seating maybe a bit... problematic. However there are purse hooks under the bar yeah! The bartender was welcoming gave us dinner and cocktail menus.. We saw another couple with bread and butter and ordered that to start. We ordered a bottle of Voss still and I had a glassof sparkling red wine. . I had the jerk Cornish game hen with frisée and my husband filet mignon with creamy mash potatoes. I ordered the 40oz bone in ribeye for $160. The picture below is the 40oz… let’s just say the vast majority of it was the... bone. My wife and I got a couple slices each and left hungry. Also, I could cook a better steak on my grill. If your looking fora good steak, go to Morton’s and/or Ruth’s Chris, this place cannot compare and costs more. In short, I ordered two drinks,one steak and some mushrooms on the side. Cost about $280 after taxes and left underwhelmed by the quality of meat anddisappointed in the ridiculous price for how little steak was actually on the plate. I will say the service was great and thebartender was super nice and informative (10/10 on the bartender). Maybe the other steaks are better, but the 40oz tomahawkribeye for “two”, will definitely leave you underwhelmed and underfed. Read more
Absolutely amazing! Service atmosphere cocktails...and the food! This is a steakhouse run by a real chef, the lamb was to die... for and the fish was probably swimming this morning. The wine list is clearly written by a wine lover having carefully selectedeach one of the labels. Loved it! Read more
A friend highly recommended. They go every week. Great addition for Redondo Beach. Great steak, one of the best Ribeyes dry... aged in the city I've had. Must try the garlic butter with it. Also had the bone marrow on the steak. It was good, but the steakstood well on it's own. Great cut. Mac and cheese was excellent. Appetizers are unique and tasty. Try the fried onion. Icecream was ok. Looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu. Read more
I closed my eyes for every bite. This is an extremely delicious steak house and cocktail bar. The steaks are cooked on a grill... using a wood fire. I spoke to the chef and he’s definitely a purist when it comes to steaks. There was quality at every pointof my experience. Five stars for sure. Read more
I'm super happy with this amazing steakhouse. It's way better than other popular or branded steak places I personally been into... before. The salad presentation & taste, the amazing steak tartar (Unbelievable) and finally the trio steak. It melts into mymouth. Will be going back for sure!! Read more
