Went and got icecream with my friend who is also African American and we were treated with RESPECT and kindness. Not only did... she use to work at this establishment (she left for another job opportunity) but she is friends with the owner who love her liketheir own. Some of the best icecream around town and i always come down here when I?m in town to visit my friend. We have neverfelt unwelcomed or turned away because of our skin color. I?m sad to say our trip here was a disappointment. Flavors lack greatly within the ice cream itself and the ice cream was... extremely soft- to the point of almost being soft serve. As a first-timer to Chitterchats, I?ve never tasted a handful of theoffered flavors but there is no samples at all so that was a discouragement to try anything different. The shop was clean andsmelled nice but that was about the only upside. Hopefully change will come soon. Read more

Ice cream was great. Atmosphere was great. Smell was so inviting. Had one issue. Both my husband and I got waffle cones. ... Our ice cream almost immediately started coming through the cone all over. The cone was too thin and leaked creating a hugemess. Great taste, but needs to be thicker. Read more
