On the way home from a long day of work. Picked up one of the offspring from volleyball practice and the boss texted that we... should order pizza to bring home for supper. Usually in these situations we order from 2-4-1 or Domino's, but I wanted realpizza. And let me tell you, Houston's hit the mark perfectly. We ordered an all dressed and a veggie (with some modifications)and both were perfect. Just too much though ... but that's okay because it just means pizza for breakfast! Houston's does itright ... not greasy or sloppy. A well-built Regina style pizza. We also ordered some dry ribs and a salad. It was very goodand everyone was happy. We ordered it on the road, ran a quick errand, and were there to pick it up about 20 minutes later. Ihad to wait maybe five minutes, but that wasn't a problem as the staff were friendly, chatty, and they have a nice seating areawhere you can wait. All-in-all, a great take-away experience. Read more
This is the only place locally that welcomes me with my usual drink as soon as I come in. Although I've been coming here for so... many years, it's a regular situation with their wait staff that has come and gone. It really shows the quality of employees theyselect and it's such a welcoming environment. I can be with a big group of people, or just by myself catching up on work orreading a book - there's always a spot for me and a drink within minutes of coming in. 5 stars isn't enough for this place! The server that we had was the best I have ever had. Even though it was a busy night with the Rider game, our server provided... thoughtful recommendations on food and every interaction we were greeted with a smile and helpful comments that felt genuine.Many servers can be nice and helpful but this lady made us feel like she genuinely wanted us to enjoy our experience there as ifshe had us at her own home. The worst service I have ever experienced. I don't even know where to start! We were a large group (12) that booked a head... for lunch, we arrived on time, the restaurant was mostly empty. It took 15 minutes for the server to ask us about drinks. Ittook 40 minutes until our order was taken. The server was busy serving 3 other tables that came in after us. Some of whichhad food before she had even taken our order! One of us went to the manager and asked why we weren't being served, the serverinterrupted saying "I was coming right now!". She was rude, rolled her eyes at us and snatched our bills out of our hands whenwe were paying. I just can't believe how unapologetically rude she was! I've never had service like that anywhere! I won'tname her but you know who you are. You missed out on some really good tips because of your bad behaviour! We arrived at 11:40am and didn't get our food until 12:45 pm, we had to rush and some of us didn't even finish our meals, because we had to getback to work. It was the strangest and most unpleasant experience I've ever had in a restaurant . The worst thing about thisis that the manager, who was observing then ducking behind a wall, didn't even come and apologize for the long wait or the badservice. I was going to call them today but thought since they didn't care while we were there why would they care after. Iwill never go back there again. They don't deserve to wear the "Houston Pizza" logo, I will be sending a copy of this reviewto their corporate office as well. Bad behaviour should not go unchecked! Read more
Food prices, selection and taste are always well done! Today?s service was a bit slow, but many places are short staffed right... now. The manager acknowledged this and I appreciated that. I also appreciate knowing the tables are sanitized. Thanks for lunchtoday! Read more
It was a good classic pizza on the Prairies. Got the traditional which was loaded with meat and veggies. Great value and very... filling. A standout compared to chain pizza places. Was it awe inspiring though? I'd say no. I've been to similar pizza placesthat are "no names" in the Prairies. But it is a very good pizza. Would come again if I am in town. Read more
