I never leave reviews but i feel compelled to this time…if i can help someone else avoid this tourist trap. High end price.... Not high end food. My filet was ordered medium rare. Came out grey and appeared baked to medium well. No sear marks. Service wasfine. They did ask me if it was satisfactory but i am one to never complain. My wife enjoyed her chicken on a good note. My oldfashioned sucked. I will go Theos or 1776 next time for a good steak. Read more
I am from NYC and am accustomed to paying high prices for good steak, but I expect top notch quality for the price. This was an... Outback quality steak for Capital Grille price. My wife ordered duck which was even worse. Mashed potatoes, one advice invest inricer. They do not have espresso. They do not have ice cream for kids. I should have looked at the peeling paint on the side ofthe building and figured that place out. Total scam for tourists. Read more

Last Friday my family attended a birthday dinner at Houston White. I would sincerely like to thank and commend the chef for his... attentiveness to the special dietary needs of one of the attendees. He spoke with her on the phone before the event, then madesure to contact her before the dinner and provided a surprise appetizer specifically for her. I don’t know his name but Iwould like to thank him personally for going the extra mile for my daughter. You made our experience at Houston White trulywonderful and unforgettable. Absolutely amazing food, worth every penny! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and so tender with a good amount of flavor. Our... cheese board was tasty and the beef carpaccio was perfect. The peanut butter pie was light and very tasty. Service was great aswell. This place is a gem! Read more

As I look at the incredibly beautiful pictures of the food, the restaurant, & the reviews themselves it all leads me back to the... one picture of the outside by the steps. That is where my husband & I were seated, except we were seated so close to the steps,we could touch the staff, just not our waiter. We sat for 10 minutes before we received water. Another ten before cocktailsarrived. I am assuming the waiter was new? We could not even get a candle for our table which would have added a nice ambiencesince we were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. I cannot say anything wrong on the kitchen side. Our steaks were verygood. Unfortunately, we didn't stay for dessert because we felt like part of the staff with all the running up & down thesteps. From what I can tell by the picture, it seems that a table should not have been placed there. Had we have had the tablein the picture, I believe we may have had a whole different experience.
