I save 5 star ratings for all-vegan restaurants, but the vegan options at Moo Dang were definitely 5 stars! We got the Panang... curry, basil fried rice, pad thai, mango sticky rice, and the thai ice tea, all vegan-made! Was in the area and wanted to try something new , to me. I had not had Thai food since I moved from Vegas in March 2022. Went to... Moo Dang. It was quite busy since it's Hot August Nights. I waited 30 minutes for take out ( I didn't order ahead). I ended upbuying a shirt. I love the play on Wu-Tang. I had crab Rangoon and house pad Thai. *** This was the BEST pad Thai I've had inmy life!!!*** The house pad Thai has chicken and shrimp! No extra charge. LOADED with protein. Usually you have to pay extra forthat. The Rangoon's we're fabulous. They don't skimp on the filling. You can see the green onion and pieces of crab ????????highly recommend. Moo Dang, along with Thai Lotus, is the best Thai food in Reno! Enjoyable experience all-around: pleasant ambience, friendly... service, great tasting food. Great service but food was really salty. I eat a lot of salt too. I asked for level 4 and 5 spiciness and was impressed that it... was actually spicy. Fermented crabs didn’t make the papaya salad better just saltier, maybe leave the salt out if using thefermented crab. The food on the menu looks amazing and I like the decor of the place. I ordered the pad Thai, with two stars of spice out of the... possible five. My buddy ordered his meal with four stars. He huffed and puffed a bit during the meal, so keep in mind they arenot fooling around at this place with the spice levels. The Pad Thai was wonderful. It was clear that they were lacking stafffor serving lunch, but the woman tending to the floor did a great job of keeping herself moving and helping people out. I researched so many Thai places in Reno and Moo Dang had great reviews so we really wanted to try and see what the hype was... about. We tried 3 items: Fish Balls - Deep fried battered fish balls served with peanut sauce. Rating - 3/5 Green Curry - Iwas amazed with the taste of Green Curry. It’s a very unique coconut milk based dish with bell peppers, eggplant, bamboo andbasil. Also ordered side of Jasmine rice with it. Rating - 5/5 Pork Drunken Noodles - hot spicy stir fried pork noodle withdelicious taste of chili, garlic, onion, bell pepper and basil. The perfect combination. You get to pick your choice of meat. Wedid the pork. Rating - 5/5 I usually eat medium-hot spicy food. We did a 3 star for spice but that was quite hot for me. So ifyou don’t eat too spicy, don’t go with 2 or above. Very inviting and cool atmosphere and decor. Ultimately, the food really speaks for itself. Intense traditional Thai flavors and... bold combinations and menu selections. Read mixed reviews on google and yelp. Ended up ordering it to-go and we were very impressed. The pad sees ew and drunken... noodles were delicious!! The noodles they used were perfect. Also, got a few appetizers and the yellow curry. We were verypleased with everything we ordered. I highly recommend Moo Dang if you are craving Thai! Read more
