Went for my birthday dinner on a friend's recommendation because we had some dietary considerations in the group. The server,... Corinne, was fantastic - we have all been in the service industry for decades, and her friendliness, professionalism, andneeds-anticipation are excellent! The food was mostly great! However, the plain veggies with the hummus could have used agarnish or sauce to liven them up, and the menu lacks a meat-alternative protein source for our vegetarian diners. We would hopethat in the future an Impossible or Beyond -type product could be offered. With that one exception, the group as a whole enjoyedtheir meals and will be back for more great service! Very close to the hotel, and freeway. Sat at the bar, Jenny was spot on from the time I sat down. I always appreciate a busy... bartender who will take a second to acknowledge a new customer. This was done within a minute by way of a glass of water and asmile. The menu is creative and food was delicious. The beef soup option included with entree was amazing. I went with the shortribs which didn't disappoint. A touch of truffle oil to the creamy sauce added an element of richness. The garnish trick withthe carrots was a nice twist. The food here is really good. And they change their menu every so often so the choices stay fresh and interesting. It's a nice... place to sit down and eat, there's enough space for tables to not be squeezed together, and the decor is pretty nice. Their bararea is pretty great too, they have a good variety of beers on tap and a good cocktail menu. Very fun to visit if you're on thisside of town! Read more
The food was delicious. I REALLY wanted to understand my server better. I appreciate her coming to work, but speaking quickly... with a strong accent doesn't benefit anyone. I feel like the phrase "know your audience" would be helpful. I tipped her well,but the three of us couldn't comprehend anything. We had to have discussions on what was the take away to order. Also, why doyou get a complete sandwich for $18 as a special but only get 3 raviolis for $14. They're delicious, but I finished my foodbefore my friends. Way before them. No sides. No bread. I wasn’t impressed. The fondue was like water and didn’t stick to either the bread or the apples. Honestly, it was... probably the worst fondue experience I’ve had. The dinner salad was fine. The vinaigrette was delicious. The mushroom ravioliwas a little bland but I like the fact that it was not sitting in a pool of sauce. The short rib was both overcooked and dry atthe same time… and worse yet, covered in what tasted like a baby raise barbecue sauce. The vegetables underneath the shortrib were very undercooked, but the Gnocchi was perfect . This place was not very busy on a Friday night at 8 PM and I thinkthat speaks for itself. I would most definitely not return to pay another $100 for subpar food but our waitress was an absolutegem. Read more
We called at 4:25 for reservations for 4 at 5:30. We arrived at 5:10 and was seated early. Happy hour was until 5:30 today so... we were able to get in without missing out. Raquel was our server and she did an AMAZING job. She was professional while beingpersonable, a rare trait! Since we were from out of state, I asked her about the menu and some recommendations.
