Great experience at the Davios in Reston at the bar as well as the special seating for larger groups. The staff are settling in... at the relatively new restaurant in the area but have been trained well to offer the best to the customers. Quality of thedrinks was great. BLUF: It took us 4.5 hours to eat a meal at Davio?s Reston. Food good, management bad?very, very bad. However, food is not good... enough to sit thru another 4.5 hour meal. Scenario: 03 Dec 2022 - Reservation for 7 at 6:45, which was confirmed day of. Wearrive and had to wait a bit for our table as they were ?setting it up.? Not a big deal, it?s a Saturday during the holidayseason at prime time. We had a drink at the bar and waited for about 20 mins. To make a very long meal short? Our table wasnot set for seven ppl, but for five. The table was very small and clearly not meant for seven but we crammed around the tableanyway. The timeline went as follows (from the time we sat down): 20 Mins to get water, 60 mins for drinks, 120 mins to getbread (they cleared the bread when we were literally in the middle of eating it with the promise of fresh bread that NEVERarrived), 180 mins to get our meals, and 30 mins to get after dinner drinks and another 30 mins to get our check. We had toclear our own table of glasses (brought them to the bar the first time and then had to pile them up on the window sill behindus). Someone in my party spoke to BOTH managers who did not seem to care nor do anything to help the waitstaff out. It tookabout an hour to get a dedicated waiter who did a lovely job, despite the circumstances his management set him up for. Amazing experience! So nice to not have to go to Tysons for a good meal!

The opening was a firework of taste explosions on the tongue. The finest of the fine was constantly refilled by the numerous... staff or brought directly to the table. Yes, the bar was also incredibly well frequented until the end. But the bartenders hadeverything under control, so I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. I'm not a vodka fan, but this one deserves a specialmention. I don't know the name, but it was smooth on the finish and tasted like Chanel and Bottega Veneta in Marriage. Justperfect. The starters ranged from the finest oysters to gigantic prawns to the finest seafood salad and much more that I didn'teven try. I left out the ?main course? in the form of many small odeuvres. So I still had some room for dessert. Which againconsisted of thousands of little things that the hard-working service team continuously distributed to the guests. If youdidn't get enough here or went home thirsty, you're lying and are from the competition, who have to dress warmly from today. Davios sets new standards in Reston and the surrounding area.
