Predictably horrible service (told to wait for our reservation, then told we didn’t have one, showed them then - allowed to... sit and be ignored most of the night- only put up with this as we had our vegetarian person with us) excellent food, right inthe middle of Lake Anne seasonal events. Maybe next time we’ll take a sampler to the brew house to be surrounded by friendlyfolk Read more

Tried it for the first time hoping for some authentic Greek food. Boy, was I wrong! Ordered a chicken souvlaki salad and... sandwich. They got the sandwich bread wrong, they finally replaced it after a rather long wait (the entire restaurant wasempty). Then, I open my wrapped utensils and my napkin has a food stain on the inside. Then, I lay eyes on the appetizer plateit was on, it was dirty. My husband moves in his chair and almost falls over, the chair was wobbly and almost falling apart. Atthat point I had had enough so I looked for the manager and politely let her know about all these issues. She was very nice andapologetic and comped my salad. Now, the souvlaki chicken in both dishes was cut up pieces of frozen Tyson's chicken, you know, the one with the fake grill marks on it, dry and cold. We both left with a stomach ache. The server girl was nice, but everyoneworking there was running around aimlessly with no customers in sight, and one of the kitchen employees' 7-year-old kid keptrunning in and out of the kitchen. We really wanted to enjoy this place, but it's one of those restaurants that needs to be onKitchen Nightmares. Read more

First timer and I actually liked it . When you park in the lot , you will be like - where is this place .. but when you turn... around the main building and go backside , you will be amazed . There is a small lake with boating and so many restaurantsaround it . Parking is tight . Very difficult to get a parking !! Kalyn’s I was perfect for a few beers and some quick snack. The service was good . They have good range of beer on the tap :) and some good finger food . I could try eating a meal …outside ambience is good . So many chairs/ sofas to sit . Lots of space inside too . Liked it overall . Read more

My family decided to eat out for Father’s Day dinner and picking this restaurant was such a mistake. We felt bad for the staff... because they were trying but the majority were overwhelmed, younger workers. They apologized many times throughout the meal. Ourinitial appetizer order of french fries for the kids came out fast. Then the rest of our food took over a half hour. When it didarrive the kids spaghetti order was in a huge dish larger than anything else on the table and difficult for the three year oldin our party to eat from. Our other kids order was chicken tenders which were burnt and inedible. The adult menu special of fishtacos had a very small amount of fish and looked thrown together. The crowning touch was that our celebrated fathers mealdidn’t come out and they offered no explanation. We waited over another half hour for that meal and still nothing. We askedfor the check multiple times and finally part of our family had to leave. The manager offered to help and still nothing happenedas we watched him just go stand by the front door. Finally, we were able to pay and asked them to remove the meal from ourcheck. They brought the meal out packed to go when they returned with the check to sign. Attached is a photo of what they gaveus. It was flavorless and dry; thank his we didn’t pay the $20 for it. Don’t waste your money or time here. Read more

Pizza was cold and not very tasty. I cannot give it more than 2 out of 5. Salmon rigatoni with pesto sauce was better but super... greasy. Beers and wine were good. Service was suuuuuper slow. They only had one person working there. We had to wait a lot forordering, our foods to come and for check. Overall we thought two out of five would be fair, but I give them three for the vibeand view. Read more

I tried to take a picture of the salmon rigatoni in pesto sauce from the "specials" menu, but it was really good and I just ate... it real fast. I asked them to add a jalapeño which put it over the top. The person next to me got a pizza loaded with an inchof veggies that also went real fast. Good times, good times. Read more

Food- slightly above average, but nothing special. Service- below average Location - above average...except for the sewer gas... odor Our lunch group's first visit for a Friday lunch. Kalypso is in the heart of the original Reston. Outdoor seating underumbrellas. Only three patrons in the 2 hrs we were there. Seated immediately, and immediately moved to get out of a lightdrizzle. Simple menu with some Greek, Italian and American items. We ordered drinks and food. Drinks came in plastic cups. Foodarrived promptly. We ordered a gyro, chicken sandwich, burger, and antipasto salad. Portions average size. Food was ok. Burgeroverdone. Had to ask for drink refills, then had to ask for ice. The wait staff was not attentive. Throughout lunch, I thoughtI noticed a sour odor. Another member of the group noticed the same sewer gas odor. He thought it was coming from a manholecover 5 yes from the outdoor seating area. Today was a low 80's, high humidity day. I can't imagine the smell on a hi-90's day.We joked it was like dining in Paris in the summer when the pissoires are busy. The groups initial rating ranged from 4 to 2. Isettled on a 3, but probably won't be going back. Read more

We absolutely loved it. We ordered the Greek pizza and the lamb chops with a Greek salad on the side. And we also had the... Spankopita appetizer that was so good I inhaled it before taking a photo. Everything was really delicious, the outdoor seatingwas nicely spaced and just quiet enough for conversation, and the service was great despite reading other reviews saying theservice was slow. We did go on a Monday evening so maybe it was a little bit slower and quieter than normal, but it definitelywas not empty. Read more
