We went in around 9:10pm. This location closes at 10pm. The cold table was broken down ready for after close cleaning. The food... was left out on a food cart for awhile. As our food was being prepared one of the workers was scooping out nasty chunky greenwater from the cold table and into a bucket. The sound, smell, and sight of soggy cheese floating in green water left usgagging. It was disgusting. To top it off my husband?s food was sitting in the splash zone. I go to this Cafe Rio restaurant like 3 or 4 times a week. Most of the employees know me (the ones who used to work there in a... long time). The staff gets changed quite often, and the new ones don?t even put the right amount of meat on the entrees. TonightI got a salad with the same amount of meat u could put in a taco. Read more
This is a great cafe rio. I despite being completely packed with tons of people they managed to do a great job and keep everyone... moving through the line as quick as they could. The food here was great and the service was great as well. Place seemed wellkept. I would recommend coming here for some good food. Read more
We ordered our food and prepaid online. We picked it up and came home and noticed the extra side dressing we paid extra for ... was missing. We ordered extra pork and there was hardly any. Both of the burritos we ordered had very hard beans in them (almostcrunchy) We didn't even finish them. It was very expensive and not worth it at all! Would not go back! Read more
Normally this place is super good but for some reason today, I picked up my online order and I had a different experience. My... tortilla shell is literally a chip, it?s stale and hard, and I specifically asked for things to be removed (due to allergies)and they added them. Little disappointed. Read more
I feel like all chain restaurants let me down eventually. Once that happens, the only thing that brings me back is if someone I... want to eat with insists on eating at one of their locations. That's what happened here. I loved Cafe Rio when i firstdiscovered it on a trip to UT about a decade ago. They eventually arrived in my former home state of WA and, as many goodrestaurants do when they come to WA, their quality and service took a pretty pronounced plunge downward. I rarely have eatenthere the past several years but I was in town dropping a couple of my kids off at school and I had the opportunity to grablunch with my cousin who was there as well. She wanted Cafe Rio and I agreed to meet her there. All it takes is one goodexperience to bring you back. It's happened with me so many times with Red Robin, I've lost count. I think their recent decisionto get rid of my favorite burger and the fact that I no longer live in the state of their origin probably signals the end ofthat relationship but my meal at this Cafe Rio location was very good and they may have gotten me back. The food was fresh andtasty, the service was friendly and fast and this location actually empties their garbage cans, unlike their Lynnwood, WAlocation. One persistent complaint I have with Cafe Rio is their refusal to do substitutions without charging you but I justordered a salad on this visit and had no subs. I guess I'll try one of their locations in my new home town in NV and see if thequality holds up but these guys are a credit to the organization. Read more
Took 30 min to get to our order in spite having a lot of staff. They made less than 10 dishes ahead of us.The workplace was... filthy lids were covered in remnants of dried meat and ingredients were crossed without care. I selected burrito and got mybeans and rice, I asked for beef and only then was informed that they were out. I only like their beef I don?t like their othermeats. The guy went to serve pulled pork before even asking me what meat I wanted and stopped just before plopping it on. Heasked if I would prefer steak as they were out of beef. He did not tell me that the steak price is more than the listed burritoprice. He put a pitiful amount of cheese on the burrito before wrapping it up. I asked for mild sauce after the first scoop Itold him just a little bit (I forget people typically like a lot more than I do). Then he put another scoop on anyway. Finallythe actual quality of the food, the rice is undercooked and hard the beans which he said proudly were cooked today, were alsoundercooked. And the steak most importantly was guess what? undercooked. With such small pieces being cooked you?d expect themto get it right. I took two bites and though I?m quite hunger can?t imagine finishing the thing. I?d give 0 stars if I couldHonestly if you?ve got a car drive the extra one mile down to the Costa Vida. Normally the food is so good! I ordered on DoorDash, like I often do. It was the worst experience I?ve had. I paid $8 for chips,... queso, and salsa. Instead I got a runny guacamole and no side salsa. The chips were stale. The didn?t put the pico on the sidelike normal which made my tacos cold and soggy by the time it arrive and was difficult to reheat. I was super disappointed atthe meat. Normally it?s juicy and flavorful but this time it tasted like bitter card board. I think it had gotten over dried andthe tried to save it plus half the meat had fallen out of the taco before it arrived. I called to ask about getting my ordercorrected and they said I would have to come in to get the correct food and at most they would give me credit on the Cafe Rioapp. That was so frustrating cause I ordered this food because I didn?t have the ability to drive to the restaurant and I paidnearly $30 for just one meal so just disappointing for that much money.
