So disappointed...I love del taco, and I know this one is so remote things aren't going to be perfect. I was there about a month... ago and the manager at the time said things were changing on the menu, I was kinda sad to hear that, but I guess it's companywide. Went in about 2 days ago, ordered a few items...and don't think I'll be back. The "meat" in the tacos and chili cheesefries was a mush of a concoction....so bad and unexpected, I spit it out immediately. Went and asked a manager what happened totheir usual meat? "That's what we have for now". So I looked at the chili cheese fries...for $5 I could still see the white ofthe bottom of the box there was such a small amount of fries and chili/cheese in it. Husband ordered 3 sides of chickenstrips...so 3 total and not the "box" when I asked for the dipping sauce for them I was all but yelled at that "you only getsauces with the box of chicken and fries"....seriously, who sells chicken strips and doesn't give a sauce for them? Then I wastold I could buy a side of the sauces...mind, the kid at the counter was def new and I do not blame him for not telling me thissmall detail...nor the new mystery meat as he legit didn't know. When an employee started telling another customer about thenew meat (as they were ordering tacos and I didn't want them to have my experience-i gave them a heads up) they said they wereout of the usual ground beef and this was an "authorized replacement, based off of the original meat recipe". It was thefurthest thing from the original. Ultimately, I was refunded, which I do appreciate. I do absolutely understand staffing andsupply issues...but at least make your customers aware...a sign that it is not the original meat, that sauces cost extra forchicken strips if you don't buy the box. Had I known, I'd have absolutely been able to adjust my order and itd also help preventfrustration all the way around (staff and customers alike). Read more
There?s a reason this place is called ?Del Taco? and not ?Del Burrito? because their tacos are great but their burritos (which... mean ?donkey? in English) have actual close resemblances with donkeys. I ordered the Epic Combo Burrito (formerly known as themoist bean sac burrito) and it tasted a lot more like its predecessor. It was way too soft and all I tasted was the beans. Itresembled one of those brown lunch bags but filled with beans. I wanted to taste the tasty taco meat I previously had in theirtacos. So in short, if you want ridiculously cheap tacos on taco Tuesday this is the place. Their taco meat and hand-gratedcheese is the bomb. Their churros and caramel cheese cake bites are delectable. The drive through wait was crazy! I think they are under staffed the girl at the drive through looked a little flustered. I... waited probably 15 minutes. When I pulled up to the window they said it would be another 20 minutes for beyond meat thankfullythey got my order confused as it had actually ordered chicken. They got my burrito out soon after. This is my first visit to deltaco and I was actually really impressed by the foot (for a fast food restaurant). The burrito was good and the pico was just afresh contrast. This was sad food. The employees were very nice. The food not so nice. Fries were soggy and old. Meat on chili cheese was old.... Chocolate milkshake was good and a small is all you need because it's so sweet. Never had their chicken strips before but notimpressed. My husband makes better ones in the toaster oven so next time I'll just stick to my guns. Keep an eye on food qualityespecially for the price. Thanks for showing up to work though! Read more
Well have ate here before and it?s always been pretty decent but this time around not so much, I was the only one in the drive... threw for a while so there was no rush for them. I got my food in a timely manner and returned home. When I opened my first tacoit was a sad scene, if a taco could have emotions it would of had depression. Seriously I think Del Taco is amazing! The staff members I?ve had interactions with have all been super great! I love their... food! As far as American-Mexican fast food goes they are the best! Better quality ingredients, lots of variety and everythingjust tastes amazing! They always have good deals going on. I know some people will complain about the slow drive thru, BUT forme it means that they don?t always have things sitting under a warmer getting dry and stale which in turn means it?s more fresh.I love it! And bonus, they actually have kids meals unlike Taco Bell. Read more
