The name said it all imitation mexican food. The only decent thing we had was the Tamales and salsa, race was hard and tasted... to much like the bell peppers it was cooked with. There shredded beef was very bland and not even shredded. Definitely neveragain Read more

I?ve loved this place since I was a child. The salsa is the best I?ve found anywhere, and I always get the shredded beef... burrito, which comes with delicious refried beans and Mexican rice. Great atmosphere, timeless food, and a great place to eat asa family. Read more
I have to admit that I chose this Mexican restaurant because ?Gringo?s? made me feel like it wouldn?t be too overly-authentic. I... like the less-authentic Mexican food because it caters better to my tastes. I have tried countless cheese enchiladas (myfavorite food!) at various restaurants and these were some of my favorites! The sauce was excellent. If I were a local, I wouldfrequent this restaurant. The service was good. They gave us various salsas to try. If you?re seeking super-authentic Mexicanfood, pass on this one. If you just want a stellar, Mexican-inspired meal, this place was amazing! I think the name pretty much says it all. A restaurant serving Mexican food that tastes like gringos making Mexican food. That... pretty much sums it up. However, the staff is very friendly and professional. Being that this is a college town, college kidsare pretty easy to impress, so I'm sure by the time they wolf down their last bite they finally begin to realize how it tastes.But by then it's too late and they probably don't really care. My wife and I have been to dozens of Mexican restaurants together, we have our favorites and our no go?s but we decided to try... something new tonight. WOW this was literally AWEsome! Food was alright. Food was fresh, just not very spicy. The staff was very accommodating to our 12 person party, several separate... checks. The server was friendly and attentive, but kitchen staff didn't make the substitutions. Sweet pork salad comes withranch or Italian dressing, which is a little weird. Overpriced for amount of food.
