Smoky Rock BBQ was a wonderful new BBQ joint to visit on this amazing Saturday! We were lucky enough to come in one of their... outdoor seating pods... Look like clear igloos! So fun! Our server was very good, answered questions, brought drinks andanything we asked for promptly, and was delightfully cheerful. The food... The star of the show at Smoky Rock... First,presentation was to notch, everything looked amazing! Flavors were also amazing. We had smoked chicken (a little dry but verytasty) brisket ends YUM, and pastrami yum... The sides were all great that we had, cornbread (toasted) sweet potato fries,beans, and blue cheese cole slaw. I also enjoyed a gingerbread cookie martini and a flaming cider drink. Both wereyummy! Delicious! Best sweet potato fries I?ve ever had and the maple sauce that comes with it was amazing. The sliced brisket was... great on its own I didn?t even need to add bbq sauce. The fat melts in your mouth. The cocktails were delicious and a goodcasual strength. Customer service was amazing. Immediately felt welcomed and taken care of. The 2 meats and 2 sides combo isbig. Can definitely share with 2-3 people. My partner and I could not finish it and had to take some home. Would recommend toanyone visiting. Read more
Ribs excellent. Fries excellent. Mac and cheese creamy. Absolutely delicious toasted corn bread. Everything was good including... the pumpkin cider. I wish there was a bit more variety of BBQ sauce. Customer service was excellent. Highly recommend. Best BBQI've had in the Hudson valley. Read more
Took the recommendation of a coworker and decided to check out Smoky Rock BBQ. We hadn't even received any food yet before we... decided we would make this place a regular stop. The service there is just top-notch. Everyone was so nice, and the backyardgarden seating was absolutely beautiful. We went on a bit of an ordering spree, and got two appetizers, a round of drinks, and ameat platter of 4 meats and 4 sides (for 3 people). We had no idea how much food we just ordered. But so glad we did. Everythingwas absolutely delicious. Heck, even the leftovers were delicious for two days after visiting. The naked smoked wings werecooked to such perfection that it would almost be a crime to put sauce on them, they were so good. The platter we chose was St.Louis wet ribs, sweet sausage, brisket ends, and pastrami. We had discussed Pork Belly in lieu of Pastrami, but then learnedthat they had won awards for best pastrami, and we were not disappointed. Our sides included collard greens, mac & cheese, cornbread, and french fries. I wish I could tell you what you should order when you go, but I can't because it was ALL SO GOOD!Between our appetizers and the main course, the chef sent out some complimentary gumbo soup that was made with the meats theycook on site, and it was fantastic. I still can't get over how wonderful this restaurant was, and that I hadn't heard anythingabout it until now. I will definitely be returning (often). Read more
Stopped in for lunch while passing through Rhinebeck. I am 20000% sure that was the best Brisket I have ever had in my entire... life. We shared the Brisket and the Pastrami sandwich and both were unbelievably good. the sweet potato fries blew my mind aswell. The worst thing we had were the seasoned fries and even they were delicious. DONT MISS THIS PLACE!! Read more
Best BBQ in the area and may be the best BBQ I've ever had! My girlfriend and I had an excellent meal here and really loved... every piece of it. Also, Christiana was an incredible server and bartender. She was so kind and attentive even while they werefully booked and did it all with a smile. Highly recommended! Read more
Drove 2 and a half hours to go apple picking with my wife and the highlight of our trip was finding this place. The only thing... better than the aesthetics of this place is the food and service. NY BBQ delivered! Everything was amazing. We might just findourselves driving up a few hours just to revisit this place. Read more
