My wife and I tried for the first time tonight. Food was excellent, good sized portions, we shared an order of calamari, it was... hot, crispy and not greasy, with two excellent dipping sauces. She had fish and chips, and I had Parmesan crusted flounder withcrab meat. Again good sized portions and well seasoned. Topped off with a brownie a la mode, that was hot and tasty. Pricesvery reasonable and Rachel?s service was top notch. Read more

If you're looking for a seafood place that isn't just another boil, or North Texas "Cajun" abomination, but you're not in the... market to spend $50+ per plate, then take a trip to Anaya's Seafood. The atmosphere is nice, not "Ooh let me dress up" nice, butcertainly nice enough that you wouldn't be out of place if you were already dressed for something else. The service was actuallypretty close to the higher end places I have been, friendly, prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. The food is great. Theflavors are solid, distinct, and fresh, as are the ingredients. I think the only thing aside from the reasonable prices thatkeeps this place from being next level is the neatness of preparation. The plating is nice, but the oysters; for example, wereshucked and separated from the shells somewhat carelessly compared to what you would get at a high end restaurant. Again, I amnot taking points away for this, as the oysters were great, it's just an example of how the little things are what keeps thisout of being exceptional. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Will I be back? Count on it. I had the Parmesan Crusted Flounder, and her royal Wifeness had the Honey Chipotle Glazed Cedar Plank Salmon, both were quite delicious, and plated well for theprice. The Peach Cobbler and Ice cream was good, if rather run of the mill. I think elevating the ice cream to something likeeven vanilla bean would do it wonders, but it's not bad by any stretch. A friend brought me here on Monday and it was so good that I had to bring my wife on Saturday. I knew I wanted more of their... clam chowder. My wife chose the crab bisque after sampling 4 of the soups. We then split an order of salmon chipotle tacos. Andfinished off the excellent meal with coffee and key lime pie. All the food is so fresh and delicious. The wait staff arewonderful - friendly, pleasant and efficient. This is definitely a hidden seafood gem in Richardson. Read more

Today I was wanting something fresh so we finally tried Anaya?s Kitchen! It was so GOOD. And the service was great. We went... during lunch and saw there was a happy hour on the drinks, they?re gorgeous and delicious. They asked if it was our first timeand actually brought us out a soup sampler! The clam chowder and poblano cream soup were very tasty so we ordered a cup of eachwith our meals. I got the Garlic Parmesan Flounder and he got the Tuna, medium rare (cannot remember the name but the glaze wasAMAZING) and we loved it. Read more
