Gillespie\'s Tavern at the Shire is a really AWESOME Pub! Went with friends and had a great time! The food was delish, the wine... was great and the music is awesome! We all enjoyed The Irish Rogues which so far was the BEST band!! Can\'t wait until they arescheduled again! Hopefully they will be back New Year\'s eve. Highly recommend this place! Read more

My husband & I ate dinner at Gillespie\'s a couple of months ago & had a great experience. The place was busy, but the food &... service were both great.\n\nWe came back today at noon with a group of eight to celebrate family birthdays, and our experiencewas very different. There were only a few other tables occupied this time, but our service was terrible. Another table sat down, ordered, & got their food before we were able to ask our waitress to please take our food order. The small kitchen had two chefsworking so we expected that the food wouldn\'t come out all at the same time so that part wasn\'t a big deal. The food was good& enjoyed by all. No one checked on our table, asked how the food was, or refilled drinks. Two customers a table over from usgot up & left prior to ordering. A group of seven were sitting on the patio & had to come inside for silverware & to check onthe other half of their meals. We had to flag down our waitress to ask for our checks because she wouldn\'t even look at us. This wasn\'t an issue of being short staffed which made it seem more personal.\n\nOh, and please beware of the rolling chairs! My sister-in-law went to sit down & the chair flung backward before she could sit & she fell hard & bruised her tailbone.\n\nThewhole visit today was embarrassing to my husband & I as we suggested for our family to meet us at Gillespie\'s based on ourprior experience. I even called the day before to make the reservation. The food & drink options were great (hence the threestars), but I\'ll never bring anyone here or recommend it again based on today. Read more

Been here twice and always appreciate the service! Tried a baby wedge salad, and I?m obsessed with blue cheese (and dressing)... and this definitely had it! If you?re not a fan of blue cheese or only like it a little, order it on the side. Bartenders arefriendly and easy to get an order with. Heard live music there Thursday night. The music genre wasn?t necessarily my type ofgenre, but the musicians were having so much fun with it, so it made it enjoyable to watch/listen to them. Read more

I love coming here. The waitresses are always so kind and knowledgeable. We came in late and almost left because we heard the... kitchen was closed. Missed it by twenty minutes. However, they were extremely generous by allowing us to order off the menuanyways. The bangers and mash are smothered in a tasty onion gravy. The porkchop was beautifully cooked. Whoever is cooking thefood back there knows what they\'re doing. Everything was delicious and well worth the price. The drinks give a nice punch too,they\'re nowhere near watery. Read more
