Not high on atmosphere, but don't let that stop you from checking this place out. When you have great food, no need to create a... lot of hype with aesthetics. This is the real deal! Comfort for the soul kinda food! Also, the whole family gets involved inthis little gem! From the cooking to the waitstaff...family owned and run. Be sure to visit with Jeremiah while you're samplingany of the amazing home cooked offerings. Great southern cooking! I?ll definitely be coming back. I happened upon Nana?s after a google search of nearby soul food... restaurants. The reviews were hit or miss, but I?m glad I didn?t miss the opportunity to eat here. First of all, portion sizesare worth the money. The prices of plates are about $20-$30 which might be on the higher side, but prices have been risingeverywhere. It seems natural that family owned businesses have to raise prices to keep up. The young people that took my orderwere friendly and patient. No complaints there. Now, the reason for which we all came? the food. AMAZING. I ordered the Sundayspecial turkey wing plate. It comes with 3 sides and I also purchased a lemonade and a banana pudding. Let me repeat? THREESIDES and all of hearty portions. I had the mac and cheese, the candied yams and the collard greens. Everything was seasonedwell and satisfying. The mac and cheese was not my favorite, but that is only a personal preference and it was still good. Nexttime I go (which will be next weekend), I may swap out the mac and try a different side. The turkey wing, candied yams andcollards were everything though. Also, that banana pudding was a must. I ordered for the first time today because I have been craving some soul food and MAAAAN lemme tell ya. The catfish was AMAZING.... The yams were delicious along with the cornbread muffin. The only critique that I have is the sweet tea was way to sweet and Iwasn't fond of the mac and cheese but other than that I will MOST DEF be a return customer. Read more

I have eaten from here several times and have ordered in the restaurant and have had my order delivered. With my previous... experiences, the food was plated and packed very nicely, but today my delivery order was a mess! Very small dining area but not crowded. Friendly people and family owned. Food was great and a lot. Watched them make the... lemonade so it was indeed fresh. Nana offered to cook me some collard greens without pork if I call ahead. Gonna bring my mahere for pork chops. She says it's been a while since I don't eat pork. I had the meatloaf with candied yams, mashed potatoesand gravy with cornbread. Cornbread was a little sweet for me but everything else was perfect. I'm hoping to try the peachcobbler soon but it's only available on Sundays as are a number of menu items. Such as Ox tails, turkey dressing and collardgreens. Nana puts her foot in it. Come get some.
