I am a big fan of Halal Guys, but had a very bad experience today at this Halal Guys!! 1. Staff (One lady and one guy) was very... fast and hurry and put beef even though I said Chicken and then removed beef (not removed completely and arguing and shouting onme) - check the pic 2. Then, they put hot sauce in my daughters platter, by mistake and we are upset and the person who isworking there also upset and showing anger on me. 3. Swiping machine is not accepting wireless card payment, when I asked theperson (who argued earlier) started shouting and saying, that is not working in a loud and shouting voice. See the pic stillhaving beef. The lady argued a lot saying that she removed completely. And, I experience getting free hot sauce packets, herethey said it is extra charge, that?s fine, but Inam surprised that red sauce packets are also charged extra. Read more
I recommend this restaurant. I have been doing UberEats pickups from here the last few months and I said I must try their food... one of these days. I finally did today and I wasn't disappointed at all. The food is good. I had the Savory Herb Beef andRice Plate. The bigger plate option which I had is a little expensive but worth it. Extremely stingy and bad management at this particular location! Our recent family outing ended up with a big argument with the... manager at this store, Ms. Maria. Having eaten very very happily at the Irving location (deserves a positive review) a fewweeks back we wanted to try this location and had lots of issues: 1-Our order was taken wrong. When we said that we wantedbeef, but was given chicken, Ms. Maria started picking chicken pieces off the platter and put them back to the container. Thenshe threw away the remaining pieces along with rice, right there in front of our eyes. 2-For the remaining orders she scoopedthe beef with all the grease in the container. 3-When I asked her to add rice because she threw away some of it, she said that Ihad to pay extra. 4-We did not opt for any tip for the sub-par service, but when we sat back at our table I noticed that therewere 5 items charged, while we ordered only 4 items. Luckily, she was quick to refund the extra item she had charged, but uponmy comment 'Not only you serve less than what you should have, you are charging extra' Ms. Maria started screaming at me "Getout of here! Don't eat the food, if you don't like it, throw away the food and get out!". Yet, we sat down and finished ourfood, but our family outing turned out to be a frustration thanks to this manager!! EXTREMELY STINGY AND MONEYMINDED. For 15$ you get half bowl of lettuce which i can buy for 50 cents. Very stingy in giving meat,... even for giving rice and white sauce, they express like someone is trying to rob them. Try to charge extra for little bit ofsauce as well. Even with soda, they charge so much and not give cover lid because they don't want anyone to drink remainingsoda outside. I've regularly visited halal guys at NY streets and always felt very happy and fulfilled. Visited 2 locations inTX and felt unhappy and robbed. Halal guys is a pretty good spot for some Gyros and bowls. This is what they serve primarily making the menu limited, but that's... okay. At least you can make up your mind quickly. I had a bowl, and it was tasty. The protein had good seasonings and the ricewas well cooked. There's some free veggies to choose from, but olives are extra charge. You can also have sauces added directlyto your food or on the side. I asked for white sauce on the food, but the spicy red sauce as a side packet. Good decisionthere, as it's really hot. A friendly heads up, the menu prices posted in Google maps are not current. Pictures show combosstarting at $7.99 or $8.99 and prices have gone up. I believe my bowl was $9.99 before drink. Anyway, keep that in mind ifyou're price conscious. Overall, I recommend trying once to see if it's your thing, I enjoyed it. Read more
I will never buy this thing again 14$ for the meal !!! I got 3 meals and it is manly rice and lettuce!! The barley added some... meat to the meal .. and it was so salty the beef .. I really regret going there ... management should fix this ... it is veryunacceptable.. I paid 43$ for lettuce rice and some meat !!!
