I decided to write a review for this location because I noticed that the site down the street 1700 east 66th (near Target where... I wanted to write the review) is refusing reviews on Google probably because of their extreme lack of customer service. I?vecame countless of times and noticed a line out the door during none rush hours because of the mistakes the baristas make. If youorder on the app -to the wrong location -which will happen because these two locations are only ONE block apart-The Caribou willNOT honor your drink purchase. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND SO-SO DRINKS I woke up early this morning to get my partner and I some hot chocolate, except they ended up... being lukewarm at best. I had also gotten my partner a large, which had the same amount as a medium because the rest was whippedcream. I was the only one present, and she sure took her sweet time. And when she handed me the drinks, she didn?t even announcethat they were mine. How was I supposed to know if they were mine and not a mobile order?s? Love some caribou coffee and bagel sandwiches! My favorite is the bacon&swiss egg with roasted red pepper spread on a spinach... florentine bagel. It's not featured on the menu anymore, but it's still the best. I've found the wait times at this location tobe really fast and really slow, depends on the day and time. Read more
Newer location with comfortable seating options, Einsteins offers a wide variety of bagel sandwich options which is a nice... improvement over Caribou's typical limited sandwich options. Would be nice if the hours were a bit later rather than closing at1800 hours, love to study at Caribou but these hours aren't conducive to that. Read more
I'd say that typically service here is just fine and what I expect from a coffee shop chain such as Caribou (pleasant and... efficient), but a recent experience here was not great. I went there to have coffee with a friend, so we ordered inside andwaited. After at least 10 minutes, checked to see if perhaps our drinks were ready, and they had forgotten about them, so Igave them our order again. The manager (a younger lady), yelled across the counter at one point that they were out of coconutmilk for my friend (lactose intolerant), and could they do something else. She asked for another alternative (almond milk,etc.). Then they said my drink was ready. I drank it and it was not my drink. It turned out they gave me a drive-thrucustomer's drink. Then the manager yelled over to my friend again that they had no dairy alternatives, so she settled onregular milk. At this point, we both just wanted to resolve everything so we could enjoy our meeting. Finally, after probably25 minutes since ordering, we got correct drinks. But no apologies, or attempts by staff or the manager to repair theexperience. I've worked in coffee shops for years, both local and chain, and if we had a customer with such a disorderedexperience we would have offered a coupon for a free drink, or something similar. I also know that when it gets busy, andorders get mixed up, how panic-inducing that can be, and I have no ill-will towards the staff. But I think when training newstaff, beyond teaching them how to make coffee and ring a cash register, teaching them the basics of professionalism andcustomer service is what will create loyal customers!
