We love U.P. North! Sandwiches and salads are delicious and a great value, super friendly staff, and the homemade pasties are... awesome. We buy them for ourselves and for my parents who are super picky about their pasties (they're always impressed withU.P. North's authentic pasty ingredients and well-seasoned dough). Delicious pasties and desserts! The pasties are large, crusts are flaky, and the fillings are flavorful! We tried the chicken... pasty and the steak pasty. As a happy accident, we mixed our pasties and gravys up. I recommend the steak pasty with the chickengravy (although they are just wonderful as served)! The desserts are divine! Hands down the best cheesecake and chocolate cakeI have EVER had! We are from Florida and are putting Up North on our list of places to visit every time we come to seefamily! My fiancé and I went here today and what a wonderful experience it was! The food itself was DELICIOUS, but the service and... incredibly personal staff made it even better. Audrey made a point to come over to our table and ask us how our food was and getto know us! I was floored by how sweet she was, why doesn?t every place in the world have service like this?! Anyway-the food-Iordered the chicken cheese steak and added marinara (pictured), then my fiancé and I split a side of cheddar broccoli soup(pictured) and shoe string fries with their amazing HOME-MADE RANCH (a midwesterners dream)?and every single bit of it wasamazing! We were too happily full for dessert, but we will back to try one of the several they have (I have my heart set on thecookie with butter cream in the middle?or maybe the chocolate cake?!) Anyway, just go! There?s no way you?ll be disappointed. Ipromise U.P. North beats any other sandwich/sub shop in the area!!! It was the best dining experience we?ve had in a really longtime. This place is something you would pass without a second look when on the road. It would certainly be your loss. The food and... service is great! The food will be out before you know it and might rival JJ?s. Lol The streak sandwich was delicious, cheesy,and loaded with flavor. The bread was the softest bread and was perfect for the sandwich. I enjoyed the sandwich from the veryfirst bit to the last. I didn?t have green peppers on mine but it can come with it. The ingredients that were on there (onionsand mushrooms were fresh and plentiful. If you like cheese, you will love this one. The meat was tender and delicious. Theother sandwich is the pecan chicken salad with a drink. If you like chicken salad, this is the one. The ingredients are allfresh and the grapes and pecan really set everything off but after bite. The croissant was soft and had a slight sweetness toit. If I could have ate both, I would have! The seating area is basic but accommodating. The tables and chairs are not themost up to date but I am not going there for the seating. The tables can easily accommodate a larger group or just one. You dofeel comfortable while eating there.
