I've been meaning to come here for over a few years actually ever since I heard how good the steaks are. People sweared by them... and now that a good friend of mine works here, I finally got convined to go try the food. I needed me time and a calmenvironment in a restaurant with comfort food, so Budd's Broiler it is. I got there at around 4 PM and it was not too packed. To my left were 3 tables being served as well so I expected my waitress to be a little busy. The scenery was the first thing Inoticed; the view of the pier and the boats parked made this restaurant shine. It's a whole different view in the cold weather.Very nice sunset came by. I immediately knew I needed a Riesling as it is my favorite type, so Ste. Michelle Riesling was whatI got. It was a crisp but otherwise bit rough. Once you drink water between the first few sips, the flavor starts to settle andit's actually a clean crisp. It is incredible! A starter was very much needed so I got a ceaser salad and you best bet it wasthe best simple salad I have ever had in my entire life. It was so flavorful, the cheese was very good. The croutons wereincredibly crunchy and the lettuce was very good too. I sprinkled the lemon it came with and it actually complemented this saladrather well. Next, was the main baby I came for. Sadly they were out of the 14 Oz Ribeye so I had to opt for the Chicken FriedSteak wagyu top sirloin. Don't let the price difference fool you... it is hands down the best chicken fried steak I've had forthe price. Yes, it is a bit pricey but by goly, the mashed potatoes were very flavorful. I don't like broccoli and I ate all ofmine! The most wonderful part for me was that the steak was so tender and easy to cut. It was so flavorful because of the crust, the gravy held every bite into justice. The next piece was desert; a very complicated choice between the Mark's Whiskeycheesecake and the Fire Roasted Apple Bread Pudding... Mandy came in clutch on the decision and even conv Read more

Bud's Broiler is a casual/fine dining restaurant that does a good job at providing a dining experience comparable to their price... - almost. It is still a nice place for celebrating an anniversary or entertaining clients. However, be prepared for a 2-3 hourmeal as the wait staff, albeit friendly, will disappear mid-meal for 10/15 minute stretches at a time. Nevertheless, there willbe pluses and minuses to your experience - PLUS: they make their own desserts in-house (the shortcake in their strawberryshortcake is top-notch). MINUS: I'd like to see them offer hand-cut steak fries and not frozen. This appears to be true for someother menu items as well. Also, you will enjoy the steaks far more without all the offered toppings - salt and pepper will letthe flavor of the steaks shine. The Filet is lovely and is cut properly. If you have a cocktail, don't expect the traditionalstirring straw (a necessity for when your ice melts waiting for the server to return) it's not that they don't have straws -just not the cocktail straws - annoying. The manager can be very attentive if there is a problem and will work to fix it, but Ican tell the place is understaffed. The bottom line is that, they are *almost* there, but not quite. Read more

Beautiful view of the river, swanky but comfortable vibe. Apps varies and good, steaks devine, good variety from steak, lamb, ... duck, burger, salad, and even a vegan burger option, with fresh veg and yummy starch options, nice wine varieties, mixed drinksif that's your preference, and dessert (so good) plus dessert wine. Pricey buy worth it in my opinion. I would go again forsure. Update: Went again, steak was perfect, desert (creme brule) standard and just as expected - good, had a fun cocktail(single malt, honey, candied ginger, and lemon) was ????. Oh, and the bread was addictive. Read more

Our party of 4 had calamari & cowboy Caviar for starters. Both were tasty. Ordered 2 new Yorks, 1 wagyu top sirloin, and 1 rib... eye. Every cut was cooked to correct temperature requested. The rib eye was the hands down favorite at our table. Beautifulmarbling and well seasoned. For dessert we had new york cheesecake, hot fudge sundae, and bread pudding. The bread pudding was ahit. Thoroughly enjoyed our night. Every dish was delicious. Will be back again for sure Read more
